Excellent buy, refurbished a dog bed and two conservatory chairs with 2 lengths.
I was originally looking for a new dog bed to replace a rather worn out one when I came across this material. Inspecting the old dog bed I realised that the sides were in good condition and it was just the cushion in the base that had lost is shape. I then discovered that the existing base cover was fine and it was the lose fill materiel inside (like a duvet fill) that was crushed and providing no support. Given a new bed was likely to cost around £70 and this off-cut memory foam was under £12, I decided to give it a try.Memory foam material properties.Very easy to cut. I just used a sharp carving knife.Good thickness, providing much better support and comfort than the original.Very light.Excellent value for money, easily enough material for at least 2 dog bed bases. The dog bed is probably better after replacing the original pillow like material with memory foam than when I originally bought it. Dog seems to use her bed more now e.g. occasionally in day and often in the evening whereas before she only ever used it during the night.Since I only used about 40% of the material I wondered what do do with the rest. I decided to place the remainder between the webbing and the existing cushion of a chair in the conservatory. (It is not visible as the chair is covered with a throw). Conservatory chair is now far more comfortable and supportive and should last a good few years longer. I therefore decide to order another length to refurbish the second chair.I have now refurbished two conservatory chair bases and a dogs bed for under £24 and still have more than enough material left to repair the dogs bed again.

Fantastic bed for dogs of any age or weight!
I spent £60 on a dog bed from a pets store chain and it lasted a few months before the mattress part was useless, so I started looking for a decent replacement. I have a 10 year old Dobermann who has had both his knees rebuilt. As such he was struggling to get up in the mornings to get off his bed. Not any more!!! He really feels the cold too, so with this new mattress he is very, very happy and makes appreciative noises when he gets into bed every night. It must be doing something right because he doesn't fidget through the night and he is getting up much easier in the mornings. For this price you cannot go wrong, being a solid piece you don't have to worry about them clumping up, or as I had before, the dogs digging at it to make it comfy. I now just need to get a cover for it. This was so good, I got one for my 4 year old Rhodesian Ridgeback, who was terrible for digging at his last one, he no longer does this, just gets in, lies down & goes to sleep. Best dog bed I've ever bought & best value. Arrived very quickly & was very clean too, no marks or dust!

Excellent value - the dog loves it
I got fed up of buying soft squidgy beds which flattened within a month or so of use - I bought a crumbed memory foam bed when my dog was a puppy and it seemed to last a lot longer - she grew too long for it rather than it becoming flattened. I decided memory foam was the way to go - then I saw the price of the complete dog beds and thought the off-cut might be more economical. It arrived very quickly and was well wrapped in tough plastic - Id keep this on if I wanted it to be 100% waterproof. As usual the memory foam smelt pretty evil but this disappeared within a few days.I bought one of the cheaper covers (just under £3) as a bit of a stop gap and for emergency use and although the cover is very thin the dog loves the bed. I put it on the floor and she was curled up and snoring in minutes. I will sew her some proper covers when I get the right size zips. I can tell already that it is going to be harder wearing than her previous beds as there is no dimple when she gets up. The length of it means she can curl up or sprawl out and still have lots of room to spare. I'm thinking of making a stockinette cover to make putting covers on easier and to avoid catching the foam on zips.

Brilliant, arrived earlier than stated
Brilliant, arrived earlier than stated. I got it for my dog,as he is 11 now and deserves a super comfy bed. However I cant afford up to £60 for a memory foam dog bed. But I'm stealing it for my bed in my caravan. So will have to buy another one for him. I'm not sure if they are the same size as off cuts, but I'll find out. The bit I got this order would be plenty big enough for a Great Dane or small pony. My boy is a long lanky boy, but I think I could get a bed for him and a bed for my smaller girl (still a med/ collie sized) out of it, if I wasn't stealing it, that is. There is a strong Chemical smell, So I would recommend giving it a good airing before use.

1 year on & still perfect. I'll never buy a hollow fiber filled dog bed again!
** This item is uncovered foam, so you'll need to be able to make, or buy, a cover for it.** I sew, so I when it arrived covered the foam pad in a waterproof fabric "pillowcase", as I wanted to avoid using a zip. We've 3 Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, all weighing about 10kg. As they snuggle up together at night I wanted something big enough, robust enough, and supportive/comfy enough for them all to sleep on; particularly as one of them is +10 years old. 0ne year on, the foam is as bouncy as it was the day I put it down. They have other, washable, blankets dumped on top of the foam, so they can "dig" & make a nest to their hearts content, but even with dogs that like to make nests of their bedding the surface of the foam is undamaged.I've just sent a link for this foam to a friend, which reminded me to write a review.

Better than most purpose-made dog beds
We have been looking for a memory foam bed for our standard poodle who is getting older and suffering a little from arthritis. We have looked in all the pet shops however the so-called orthopaedic, memory foam dog beds are either too thin, made from little bits of foam stuffed into an outer or simply too small for a larger dog. This memory foam offcut was exactly the right size and appeared to be the correct thickness. It arrived within 2 days, well packaged and in good condition. An added bonus was that I was able to remove the thin filling from the memory foam bed we already had and simply fit the memory foam offcut into the cover. Hey presto - a brand new bed which is comfortable and supportive for our dear old friend - and at a bargain price as most of the other beds we looked at ranged from £50 to over £100. She's comfortable and we're happy.
