Initially, I thought this item was a good purchase but after a couple of months of use the item became faulty and failed to stay on for longer than 15 seconds or more as reported by other users. I suspect the issue has been caused by condensation being built up inside the unit as a result of the item lacking a rubber seal at the bottom which is an absolute must for devices in the kitchen. Until this issue is corrected I would recommend other users to avoid usage within the kitchen.

So they have an easy to read display and seem quite accurate, but because the backlight is always on when they're powered up the auto power off timer is quite aggressive. Switching off after 60 seconds might seem like a good idea but in reality is so frustrating as this also clears the tare weight, so you have to have everything you need ready and you have to move quickly. Therefore useless for anything more than measuring cornflakes on a morning.Also the capacitive buttons for reset/tare are a ridiculous idea on something subjected to splashes.

Gave 4 stars simply because it switches off too quickly (30 seconds) for my needs . My dogs are raw fed -which I need to weigh as give a variety of meats --so it is extremely annoying for it to keep switching off .Otherwise a really good product -----especially for the price paid!

Scales turn off randomly (after 1 to 30 seconds). They randomly decide not to register added items. Gets worse as battery level gets low. Do NOT buy.

Excellent scales! Best scales ever! You can see the numbers well even from the distance and great light to see the numbers even in the morning while still drowsy.

These are a ten. They are easy to use, easy to read and (for kitchen scales) they are quite funky!
