KitchenCraft Let's Make Train Shaped Sandwich Cutters

This is a simple but genius invention - very useful for children who aren't fond of eating sandwiches. Brings a lot more fun to lunchtimes and lunch boxes. I've been using the Dolphin Shaped Sandwich Cutter for a few months now and my daughter usually eats all of her sandwiches, whereas she ate just a small bite out of each sandwich when I cut them into triangles or squares.The cutter is a good size and leaves little waste. It removes the crusts which is handy for me as my daughter refuses to eat it. It's very easy to use and cuts through medium sliced bread with ease. It also cuts through thick bread easily enough, although I sometimes have to turn it over and give it a little extra push. I've had no problems with sandwich fillings falling out either. It can also be used as a toast stamper and cookie cutter. To be honest I didn't think this sandwich cutter was going to be much use, mainly due to the low price, but it's brilliant quality - very solid, tough and sharp (not sharp enough to be dangerous though).I also like the fact that you get 3 shapes with this sandwich cutter that you don't get with the other Kitchen Craft cutters (2 dolphins and 1 heart). I'm happy to recommend.

Kitchen Craft Let's Make Dolphin Shaped Sandwich CutterMy son is having a 'sea' themed 4th birthday party and I decided to cut sandwiches into relevant shapes, I found this cutter and thought it looked ideal.I was a little worried that it is plastic not metal but it is strong and firm, not at all flimsy.I practised this evening with a thick slice of standard, white bread, toasted, and the cutter had no problems cutting it, there was very little waste, just the crusts, which my son refuses to eat anyway!Great value for money. I think I'll hunt out some other shapes to add variety to his lunchbox when he goes to school in September.

Having a son that LOVES trains, but dislikes eating sandwiches - this seemed like the perfect solution! I've always found Kitchen Craft products to be excellent and this sandwich cutter definitely doesn't disappoint.I've experimented with different sandwich thicknesses (thickest being ham & cheese) and it cuts through with ease, making two very cute train shapes. I've used sandwich cutters before where you have to use a knife to remove the bread from the cutter, but this is very simple and doesn't require any fiddling. Very easy to use and wash, with great results!The reason I don't give the sandwich cutter 5/5 is that it does waste quite a bit of bread. It could do with being a bit bigger.Overall, a fantastic product! It has encouraged my son to eat his sandwiches as well as being very simple to prepare. Win!

This samdwich cutter makes GREAT sandwiches for kids (and adults). There are also other shapes to find apart from this train. My grandson NEVER has an ordinary sandwich now. A good thing is there is no waste (apart from the crusts) as the shapes are cut from the shaps of the bread. Easy to clean and quite sturdy. We have the full set now. Great for kids parties and lunch boxes. Would recommend these EVERY TIME.

Brilliant little device for getting my picky 2 year old to eat sandwiches. I just make the sandwich as usual and then press the cutter over the top and it cuts out the shapes of 2 trains. Really easy to use and cuts easily through cooked meats. It definitely has been a real asset come lunchtimes.

This is such a simple way to encourage a child to eat and make their toast or sandwich that little bit special.My little one has been going through a phase of not wanting to eat very much at all. He is, however, completely besotted with Thomas the Tank Engine, so all things train themed are appealing. Thanks to this sandwich cutter the little monkey couldn't resist munching train toast this morning. The cutter produces two nice clear train shapes from a slice of bread/toast, a toddler who is happy to eat and a mother who is delighted.

It's fine but there are two small issues with it: the first is that it is quite small compared to a normal slice of bread, so there's a lot of wastage. And the second is that the gap at the top of the cutter near the antennae is very small, so you always get bits of sandwich stuck in it.

Originally I looked at the picnic puzzles sandwiches on M&S site and liked the look of them, so searched for similar on Amazon to make my own. I saw these dolphin ones and thought they would do the trick. The cutter is plastic and did the job. It is clever in the way it actually gives two dolphins plus a little heart in between- so three small sarnies in all! I made some in white and some in brown bread. One of the loaves was slightly small for the cutter so it wasn’t easy to achieve a perfect dolphin shape. My grandchildren were not as impressed as I had hoped so could have saved the money and cut in triangles instead! Hopefully I will use again. I guess I could make cookies, cut them and perhaps add a currant for an eye.

Die Schnittkante ist scharf, so dass die Formen zuverlässig ausgestochen werden können. Die Kante, auf die gedrückt wird, ist angenehm abgerundet.Mein Vorschulkind braucht nicht viel Druck, um Toast mit einem einfachen Belag (Käse, Aufstrich) selbständig auszustechen. Es lässt sich auch "dichteres" Vollkornbrot mit einem Belag aus Gurkenscheiben gut verarbeiten.Die Form ist nicht spülmaschinengeeignet, aber sie lässt sich leicht von Hand reinigen.
