one of my favourite masks been using this for a while now, doesn't completely get rid of my acne as its not a miracle cure but it definitely helps and drys out some spots and helps with inflammation. great for teenage skin. and it's a brilliant dupe for the lush mask of magnaminty.

Have used this for many years since I was 13 and my complexion began suffering, it’s every oily skin types best friend. Use it every morning after steaming and before cleansing, it’s strong enough to mattify and draw out impurities yet mild enough to not be overly stripping and cause more sebum production. I love a good clay or mud mask but this one has added zinc and sulphur which really aids oily skin in preventing breakouts. Highly recommend this vintage favourite, (it’s from the 1970s), not many ingredients and fairly economical for such a quality product. Bought this after seeing many beauty bloggers rave about it. And to be honest... meh.Firstly, I don't think this is good if your skin is more on the normal/dry side. My skin is combination (normal/dry over most of my face, especially the nose, except my forehead which is prone to the odd breakout) and my face felt awful after having this on for 10 minutes, so dry and tight. I didn't notice any difference to my spots like some other people say, and nor did I notice any difference to the blackheads on my nose. I also find it quite difficult to apply - it's so thick it's almost solid, and very difficult to spread around.I still use this occasionally, but ONLY on my forehead. And even then it's mainly because I hate waste and want to use it up - I still haven't seen an improvement.If this works for you, great, but it certainly did nothing at all for me.

This mask is honestly incredible. Whenever I have a spot breakout, I use this for a couple of days and then my skin look great again. Highly recommended!

Excellent, used it for years

I recently bought the trial size, since it was very cheap (79p for a small bottle which lasts forever!) and i have had loads of uses out of it:). First off, i love the minty smell which is refreshing and uplifting - great for summer! It is of a very thick consistency, so i apply a thin layer, and build it up around my breakout(s). Fairly easy to remove, and dries very fast so it's a lovely quick beauty fix. The next day my spots were visibly reduced and my skin looked brighter! I'm going to be taking this to France with me in the summer so all of my friends can use it :D. When the trial size is back in stock I will be re-buying because it is SO cheap! I bought this after reading the amazing reviews and I have to say I'm actually quite disappointed. This left my skin dry and itchy. Also actually made spots appear rather than get rid of them. On the other hand it did make my skin look brighter and more awake. I loved the minty smell and the fact that it's quite thick means you only need a little amount as it goes quite far. I was hoping it would help with spots like others have said it does rather than make them worse. Worth buying it you just want a sort of "fresh wake up" feeling. I will wait till I finish the tube (only one or two applications left) before I decide if it is worth buying again as it is good value and maybe just takes some time to do its work so I'm not going to completely knock it off.

Does what it claims to, although it can sometimes be a bit drying!

My favourite mask for deep pore cleansing and works great on pimples. Some find it too harsh for the skin but I personally love it and I have sensitive skin. The sulfur in this is good for those red inflamed pimples (I get about 1-2 monthly, nothing crazy), and I always put a dab of it on my pimple and it always shrinks a bit after use. I repeat the process for a few days and pimple goes away faster than if I didn't use. it is my personal acne treatment.

One of the affordable masks for acne prone and oily skin, very simple to use.Results can be noticed after first usage.Once in a week usage for some one with a combination skin like me, so lasts for months.P.S people who are allergic to the fresh minty odour should stay away from this, otherwise it's a treat to olfactory senses and reminds of spa!

With so many expensive masks out there now, it can be tempting to spend the extra money because you may be convinced that expensive means it will work better. That is not the case, and this mask proves it.I picked up a small bottle of this mask from Sally's when I was in high school going through the typical teenage acne phase. It worked wonders and completely cleared my skin. I used up every drop of the small bottle and forgot about it.I'm 24 now, and recently went through another horrible acne phase. I felt like nothing was working to clear up my skin. I stumbled upon this product on Amazon, and decided to try it again. For the price, it was worth a shot.After the first use, I noticed my skin feeling tighter and cleaned out. I used it before bed (washed it off and moisturized before bed) and when I woke up, my really bad areas were dried up and flat, and the redness was gone. I used the mask every night for a few days, and by the end of it, my skin was clear.I continue to use this mask once a week or as needed when I feel like my skin needs a good cleaning. I first wash my face with a scrub, dry my face and apply a moderately thick layer of the mask, and wait about 20 minutes for it to dry completely and let it go to work. If I'm in a rush, I'll use my hair dryer on the cool setting to speed the drying process. Then I rinse it off in the shower and afterward, apply a toner, acne treatment lotion, and moisturizer.I have tried leaving it on for extended periods of time, and I feel like that's actually counterproductive. My skin starts to try and produce more oil to counteract the drying effect of the mask, and that's what may make you break out. I have heard of people leaving masks on overnight, but I really wouldn't recommend that.

Love Queen Helene Mint Julep Masque. Removes excess oil without leaving my face irritated or overdried. My housemate loves mint-scented shampoo, so I suggested he try this masque. He loves it and has added it to his handsomeness-maintaining regimen. It's also lots of fun to walk around with a green face and quote fictional green-faced villains while wearing it.

I've been using this mask for years and I absolutely love it (and love Amazon's S&S option, saves lots of $)It feels nice and refreshing yet not too minty. Your pores will shrink and your face will be tightened, your skin feels really soft after washing it off and it does not dry you out. It def helps reduce size of pimples too, I don't know if it helps prevents acne.I use it with the face scrub Queen Helene Mint Julep Masque, 8 Ounce (Pack of 2) which I also love!Some people commented that it's messy - I don't think it's any messier than other masks. It's very thick consistency and when your done applying simply wash off your fingers.
