Disappointing Book For Older WWE Fans
Slightly disappointed with this book as I found too much emphasis was put on matches from the mid 1990's onwards. As a lifelong WWE fan I would have liked a few more matches from the early days of WWE before the PPV era. Here's 7 all time classic matches off the top of my head which should have easily made the list:1980 Texas Death Match Title v Title, Bob Backlund v Ken Patera1980 WWE Tag Team Title Match, Wild Samoans v Rick Martel & Tony Garea1982 Junior Heavyweight Title Match, Dynamite Kid v Tiger Mask1983 Intercontinental Title Steel Cage Match, Don Muraco v Jimmy Snuka1984 Bootcamp Match, Sergeant Slaughter v Iron Sheik1990 WWE Tag Team Title Match Summerslam, Demolition v Hart Foundation1993 King of The Ring Semi Final Match, Bret Hart v Mr Perfect As I Say that's just 7 off the top of my head, there are many more. I'm not sure why matches like the 40 man Royal Rumble were included as this was probably the worst Rumble match as it clearly didn't work with so many participants. As for including Survivor Series matches, the book has chosen Team Savage v Team HonkyTonk from 1987 when by far the best Survivor matches were the 5 on 5 Tag Team Survivor Matches from 1987 & 1988.The random order the matches in the book are listed was also slightly offputing. So in summary I think a lot more thought and the opinions of older generation fans would have made this book a lot better.
