If you have a tank that you want to just have "live" plants in then buying moss bald is a very effective, very cheap way of adding some variety to your tank. They are durable, their colour will match whatever plants you have and the fish will not really nip at or attack these like they might do with your live plants.They are also good at absorbing nitrates and waste and as long as you take them out and give them a rinse and squeeze every so often they will continue to benefit your tank for a long while

I love it! Only had it a few days and if any issues come I will update, but so far I'm very happy with it, it's a cute little fluffy ball of moss, which arrived to me in perfect condition. NB I'm not using it in a fish tank - I'm putting it in a clear container in the bathroom as part of my insane mission to make my bathroom into a green oasis. I will now order more now I've seen how cute this is.@ 21.6.17 I did order more and they arrived today, I ordered the 5 plus 1 free pack and they are all a lot larger than I thought they would be, but they were going to grow anyway so I won't knock any star off for that.

Arrived the next day, yes a little bit squashed, but you would be too if put in plastic bag and sent via post! Very green and 'mossy' have put them in jug of tank water and rolled them around to get the ball shape, left for wee while, while they float for a while, then squeezed all the air bubbles out, reshaped and now have sunk to the bottom, look really cool rolling around the bottom of the tank, fish are inquisitive but not brave enough to come near yet.... Pleased with purchase, I ordered 2 and got 2 extra 'babies' as well, will look forward to seeing them grow. The other 2 are about and inch round in size.

I cant rate the moss ball from "Fishing Around Ltd" anymore highly, it arrived within just 2 days and it was the size of a tangerine! Be warned that it arrives in a plastic envelope, quite squashed from the journey so i recommend you have a cup or glass jar of salty ice water ready for its arrival to avoid it drying out. The natural habitat for the Marimo Moss ball is the bottom of icy lakes, the salt in the ice water helps to drop its temperature even further.Id advise keeping the moss ball in its own cup of icy saltwater from your fish tank for a day just to ensure its not carrying any kind of parrasites with it (such as worms).---------------------------Makre sure you dont get tricked into buying any moss balls from "Nesa Ltd" becaue they are absolute garbage, i got one from them on saturday morning and it arrived in a flimsy plastic envelope, completely flattened and torn, in its pathetic flattened state its no bigger than 10p coin / quarter dollar.I feel absolutely robbed for paying £3.27 for this when I bought another one last week from "FishAround Ltd" for the same price. Ive asked for a refund but I doubt I'll get one.Dont buy anything from "Nesa Ltd", they are very shady in my opinion... their moss balls have the exact same product title, price and even the same photo that "FishAround Ltd" use, so when you leave a negative feedback/review it appears to trick the Amazon system into putting the review against "FishAround Ltd"."Nesa Ltd" appear to have completely removed their marimo moss balls, i wouldnt be surprised if a lot of people complained, especially given the fact that it tricks the Amazon system into loading the reviews section up for "FishAround Ltd" instead of "Nesa Ltd" when attempting to leave a negative review.

My rating here does not apply to the seller. I've given them five stars as everything was as described, was in excellent shape, arrived quickly, and my five fancy goldfish loved it. So what was wrong? I put it in the tank on the Saturday, and by Monday morning there wasn't a single strand left! They'd eaten the lot. The one star, therefore, is to let goldfish owners know that unless they want to give their pets an expensive and highly scrumptious treat, then don't waste your money.

I received a bag of 3 moss balls but they are tiny...just under 2cm. The picture is misleading and I expected them to be bigger (3cm-5cm according to the description) On the plus side, delivery was very fast and the Moss balls look healthy.

The pic shows two, but I didn't actually expect to receive two. One is slightly larger than a ping pong ball and the other a small marble. Both arrived slightly moist in a sealed bag. Neither were particularly squashed and had held their shape well. I left in a slightly salty solution overnight but no little nasties came out. After washing they are in the tank and look really interesting - as much as green balls can. They are both on the bottom and haven't floated yet. The fish done seem to mind them either. It will be interesting to see if it keeps the tank a bit cleaner.
