MiniSun IP44 Rated Outdoor PIR Security Infrared Motion Sensor, Black

Looks as advertised and works just fine It's IP44 and you need to look this up on google to find out how suitable it is for your needs. Mine is set up in the porch so it's protected from the weather and worked first time.Take time out to read the instructions and get your head around the wiring diagram and remember the dials should be on the bottom and that's also the egress point for the wiring lead.I actually simply ran an extension cable from the chocolate box in the minisun to the one in the porch light being used which made things easier. Took me a while to figure that work around out though. Saves trying to run the power lead in and the light lead out of the device through the hole provided.5/1/2019 When rec'd installed in porch so not exposed to wind and rain. Still doing fine. I used this to replace a faulty PIR that I've had in place for years. Good, comprehensive instructions. Easy to fit - as some people have said it's a squeeze getting 2 cables in the back - but there is a blanking plate that can be drilled out to allow another cable in, which is what I did for mine and made it much easier.Detection range is as good as the old one and it's easy to configure the timer & light sensitivity.Very happy!

Works well. Only one axis of adjustment (Up and down) realy needed a side to side adjustment as well in my application, as it has quite wide blind spots at the side.Usual flimsy arrangement for connections and mounting. Minimal instruction in miniscule writing. Overall OK.

Great product room, just, for two cables which in my case are surface cables I just nibbled a bit out of the bottom. Easy to wire stacks of room, easy to set up and works a treat. I have outside lights with built in PIR which packed in. Rather then pay out a lot of money for a new lamp I required it internally to bypass the sensor and added a MiniSun. Good solution.

Quite a good, robust unit, fairly straightforward to install. Unfortunately it does not seem to have any way of adjusting the sensitivity / range. This means it comes on randomly during the night, presumably triggered by insects, spiders or rustling leaves.

Good quality sensor and easy to install. It replaced a different sensor that was over sensitive and triggering every minute. This sensor only triggered when it detected body movement which is how it should be!!!

Great product.. brought to control two outside lights on my garage. Easy to install and wire ,managed to get two 1.5mm cables in and wire up . Easy to set up and adjust. It works well (so far!)This was the best way to get the wall lamps I wanted which weren’t not available with PIR !!

When I researched for a replacement sensor I found this product varied in price but found the best price on Amazon and a bonus of the supplier being U.K. Fitted in 5 minutes, set up in a minute and it works.
