The All-New Woodworking for Kids

This is a beautifully produced book, with many interesting projects. The problem is (and this is why I wouldn't give five stars) that they often require a very high level of skill. The photos of the finished projects clearly show professionally made items. Just look at the paint finishing, for example. The title says Woodworking for Kids, and that's true. Not woodworking with kids, which would probably be more fun. As a dad and grandad who's made loads of things with kids, I look at most of the projects in amazement ... and will never turn them into reality! Good luck to all who try ...

Very nice book, it helps and teach how to use the tools.

Bought this for my son as an introduction to woodworking, which it serves as very well; the book covers basic techniques and has some interesting projects, starting with the building of a work bench and toolbox, and working up to small (kids) furniture items and toys. Some good ideas for projects!Very happy with this book. Arrived as described and on time.

This book just arrived and we haven't actually made anything from it yet but very impressed with the content. Gives you a full glossary of tools at the beginning and ideas to help you throughout the book. Each item tells you what tools and material are required and a rough guide as to how long the project should take. Colourful photos of fun and useful things to make. Looks like we have a busy summer on our hands!

I bought this book as a present and the lad I gave it to was thrilled! The projects were well chosen and explanations for how to make them are well set out! Even I could do them!

I work in a school and we are always looking for ideas for the kids projects. This has some good ideas and can be adapted for different age ranges
