Snuza Hero MD (Medically Certified) Portable Baby Breathing Monitor

I read a few mixed reviews about the Snuza Hero and ordered one with a reserved stance. I wasn’t sure whether it would work well or not, I’d read some pretty negative reviews from some people…. It was worth giving it a go, as a new parent I have been terrified of the potential of SIDs.The Snuza came and I followed its instructions. It has not failed once. Every single time my son’s chest inflates at night I get a reassuring beep to let me know he’s okay. One beep per breath. The alarm hasn’t wrongfully gone off once whilst my son uses it, I have tested the alarm however and it is loud! You have 3 sound modes, you can turn the beep up louder by pressing mode after attaching to the nappy. This is a genius device that has exceeded expectations and allowed me to rest better knowing I have this trusty little gadget monitoring my baby,Best purchase I’ve made for my son!

If you're thinking about getting one of these - DO IT! It's such a great idea and a well-made product.Good Points:- The rubber tip which makes contact with your baby's skin is very soft and flexible. It might leave a slight red mark on their skin after being there all night, but that will fade within seconds. It doesn't leave an indentation in their skin or anything like that.- It's really easy to use once you get the hang of it.- Our baby doesn't even notice it's there.- The sensitivity is set at a good level. It picks up even very shallow breathing as long as the rubber tip is touching the baby's skin. But it's not so sensitive that it will pick up an adult's breathing if they're in the same bed.Bad points:- I wish it was a bit smaller. It's not intrusive, but to be fair our baby is a bit of a giant. We started using this at 3 months old. If you have a particularly small or premature baby - it may be too big. I'd still give it a shot though, because it's so useful.- Every time you turn it on, you have to sit it somewhere without any motion to "reset" itself. This means that you can't turn it on while it's already on the baby. There have been times I forgot to turn it on first, and then I've had to undress the baby to turn this on before putting it back on him. That's pretty annoying.- If your baby lies on their side and their nappy is loose-ish, the rubber tip can lose contact with their skin and that can be enough to set off the alarm. This has only happened to us a couple of times, but can be a bit frightening before you realise what's wrong.Despite the bad points, this gets 5 stars. It really does work, and the peace of mind it gives is priceless.Although one thing to note - I've seen a few reviewers mention that they use it in the car. That's not going to work. The vibration from the car will easily keep the alarm "happy" whether your baby is breathing properly or not.

before I start, for context, our first daughter was stillborn so we were very anxious when our second daughter arrived. I spent the first 3 nights after we bought her home watching her in the crib to make sure she was safe and kept breathing.As soon as we were able, we started using this and it's given us so much peace of mind knowing that it's there and tracking her breathing. I would say I've been sleeping easier but that's not really an option with a newborn! But it's certainly alleviated the worries I had and helped me get to sleep quicker during those precious moments between feeds.Absolutely recommend this product to anyone and everyone - it's simple to set up and works!

Wonderful peace of mind for new parents. Firstly there are only 3 monitors in the UK that are medically certified. Two of those are under mattress types (interestingly the most popular under mattress system the Angelcare is NOT certified) and this is the only truly portable alarm. The way it works is that it clips onto the nappy and the soft silicone tip rests against their stomach. It measures every time they breathe. Less than 8 breaths per minute or a gap of 20 seconds without a breath and it will sound a short alarm and vibrate to try and get them to restart breathing. If this happens 3 times or the gap continues then the alarm will sound fully. The beauty of this system is that you can take it anywhere. You aren't just restricted to a single cot. It will work anywhere they are sleeping. Unlike many under mattress alarms it can also be used in moses baskets, car seats etc. We used it right from when our son was born. Even when he still had his plastic clip on the umbilical cord stub we just placed it off centre so as not to touch it and it worked fine. It takes a CR2 lithium battery which will last a few months and you get a warning when its low. Simple to replace. We wouldn't be without ours. Its just that extra piece of mind that helps you to relax when they are sleeping.

Il dispositivo è utile per controllare l’ansia delle mamme ansiose come me. Si applica facilmente al pannolino. Voglio spendere 2 parole sul venditore, molto gentile e disponibile. Dopo 9 mesi di utilizzo il dispositivo non funzionava più, lampeggiava di rosso, vibrava e suonava nonostante mio figlio respirasse normalmente. Ho contattato il venditore che prontamente mi ha fornito le istruzioni per il reset. Purtroppo non è bastato e il venditore mi ha inviato un nuovo dispositivo. Sono veramente soddisfatta.

Unser Baby kam 6 Wochen zu früh und war 5 Wochen wegen Atemaussetzern in der Kinderklinik. Dort wurde es 24/7 an Monitoren überwacht. Ich hatte Angst davor, wie ich zu Hause ohne die Überwachung klar kommen kann. Die Ärzte haben mir dennoch von jeglicher Überwachung abgeraten. Trotzdem habe ich mich nach meiner Recherche für den Snuza hero entschieden und nutze ihn bis heute jede Nacht. Mit Abstand meine beste Entscheidung. Läuft seit fast neun Monaten völlig problemlos. Stört das Baby nicht. Ist blitzschnell dran und wird auch bei Reisen eingepackt. So gut wie keine Fehlalarme, wenn dann wirklich nur, wenn die Windel verrutscht ist oder so. Klare Kaufentscheidung. Ich nutze ihn jedenfalls weiter, bis die Batterie mal aufhört, denn es lässt mich viel beruhigter schlafen.

The media could not be loaded. Für alle die evtl überlegen diese Anschaffung zu tätigen.Mein Kind kam 6 Wochen zu früh zur Welt. Es ist mein zweites Kind , deshalb bin ich in vielen Dingen gelassener als damals beim ersten. Es gibt aber eine Sache, die mir einfach immer schon übertriebene Sorgen macht. Und ja.. natürlich sagen viele, dass die Sorge, dass das Kind aufhört zu atmen übertrieben oder Schwachsinn.. ( am schönsten finde ich immer die Formulierung: „wenn es passiert, dann passiert es einfach, dann kannst du auch nichts mehr machen“). Ja .. rational gesehen ist meine Angst unbegründet. Ich habe zwei gesunde Kinder.Ich könnte mich nun Wochenlang quälen und mir selbst einreden, dass ich übertreibe.Oder aber… ich hole mir einfach ein solches Gerät und habe zumindest ein besseres Gefühl.Natürlich weiß ich auch, dass man sich nicht auf so ein Gerät verlassen soll etc. bla bla. Haben wir ängstlichen Eltern alle schon mal gehört. Aber ich denke mir: na und? Dann kaufe ich es halt und schaue trotzdem noch nach meinem Kind. Also… bitte. Lasst euch nichts einreden oder haltet euch für übertrieben oder zu ängstlich. Mir persönlich nimmt es enormen Druck.Ich befestige dieses wirklich kleine Ding , sobald mein Kind schläft oder kurz davor. Manchmal liege ich auch erst noch neben ihm und schaue ihn an… wenn ich dann nochmal aufstehe um z.B. zur Wäsche zu gehen etc. Dann schließe ich , wie gesagt, dieses Teil an und ich gehe 1000% beruhigter aus dem Raum. (Trotzdem habe ich die Türen auf und schaue immer mal wieder mein schlafendes Kind an- ich Liebs ja auch)…Zur Funktion kann ich nur sagen: bei uns funktioniert es!Natürlich darf man sich nicht vorstellen; dass das kleine Gerät ein Wunder vollbringt und unsere Kinder vor dem Tod schützt. Deshalb habe ich auch ein kleines Video hinzugefügt. Letztendlich ist es ganz einfach. Die lila Spitze (ist sehr weich) nimmt Berührung wahr. Sobald die Bauchdecke die Spitze berührt ist alles gut… sollte das mal ein paar Sekunden nicht der Fall sein , vibriert es kurz und nach wenigen weiteren Sekunden piepst es. Deshalb funktioniert das Teil natürlich auch nicht bei der Autofahrt etc. Da sich ja dann alles bewegt unter Umständen und die Spitze auch diese Bewegung wahrnehmen könnte.Mir war einfach nur wichtig , dass irgendwas da ist; wenn ich schlafe. Mein Kind liegt im Beistellbett neben mir.. Ich habe das Gerät nun einige Wochen und kann sagen: für mich die beste Anschaffung.Natürlich habe ich es auch schon 20 mal ausprobiert , ob es auch wirklich Alarm schlägt. Und das tut es. Und Fehlalarme gibt es halt dann, wenn das Ding verrutscht (was bei uns so gut wie nie vorkommt) oder wenn ich es halt abmache , nicht ausschalte und weglege. 10 Sekunden später schlägt es Alarm. Und zwar immer. Ist ja auch eine simple Technik. Sobald keine Berührung mehr vorhanden ist , piepts halt. Ganz einfach. Da braucht man weder spekulieren noch vor Fehlalarmen Bammel haben. Wenn Mans richtig an der Windel befestigt funktioniert es.Im Video sieht man auch, dass es grün blinkt wenn ich die Spitze mit meinem Finger berühre.Ich bewerte fast nie Artikel , hier aber eine ganz klare Herzenssache für die ein oder andere Mama, die vielleicht noch überlegt.(Oder Papa)

Lo ricomprerei mille volte. Lo uso tutti i giorni, più volte al giorno, anche per i pisolini pomeridiani. Basta infilarlo nei pantaloncini o nel pannolino, è facilissimo da usare ed è stato un acquisto essenziale. Dovrebbero renderlo obbligatorio. Il mio bimbo adesso ha 6 mesi, lo uso da quando è nato e finora non ho dovuto cambiare le batterie, benché lo utilizzi per diverse ore al giorno. Ho comunque già acquistato quelle di scorta, perché non vorrei dover passare anche un solo giorno senza! L'idea che da un momento all'altro il bimbo possa smettere di respirare, magari quando anche noi stiamo dormendo... Con questo monitor si può dormire sonni tranquilli! È geniale, funziona benissimo. Ripeto, dovrebbe essere obbligatorio.Vorrei aggiungere due parole sul funzionamento, che è veramente semplice (ci sono due bottoni, uno a destra e uno a sinistra - più semplice di così!)1) Per accendere, premere una volta il bottone sinistro.2) Posizionare il monitor su una superficie piana per effettuare la calibrazione. Di solito ci mette solo un attimo, quando sentite "beep beep beep" e la lucina diventa verde vuol dire che è pronto.3) Mettere nel pannolino o nei pantaloncini. Io di solito lo metto leggermente sul fianco, per evitare l'ombelico.4) Per spegnerlo basta solo premere contemporaneamente i due bottoni. Quindi se l'allarme parte, anche per sbaglio, no panic: basta premere i due bottoni e si spegne subito! Poi per riattivarlo, da capo.Comunque le istruzioni più dettagliate (per esempio sul come togliere l'audio della lucina, o come regolare il volume dell'allarme) si trovano anche su internet, è veramente facile.

Testato e funziona perfettamente, sicuramente ci farà passare notti più tranquille con il nostro secondo bimbo, mentre con il primo mi svegliavo in continuazione per controllare che stesse bene e che stesse respirando. Un prodotto importantissimo e salvavita che dovrebbe essere raccomandato ai genitori dai punti nascita e dai pediatri.
