The Nepalian Dog Chew is a long lasting chew made in Nepal. It is 100-percent all natural with no preservatives. These chews are made using yak and cow milk along with Salt and lime juice. The ancient recipe creates a very long lasting dog chew. Dogs will work on the chew for a while and soften the treat up before scraping small pieces off. This treat originates from the type of cheese eaten by the people of the Himalayas. Packaged by weight, quantities and size vary.

Our two Havanese (one 12 lbs and the other 18lbs) enjoy them. The chews seem to get harder with longer exposure to air although not certain. They can last from days to weeks. I was worried about them swallowing them whole as they were chewed down but find they stop chewing them and leave small chunks laying around that I wish could be melted with others to make new bones. I know about the microwave bit but that leaves crumbs all over. The microwave crystallizes the butter and makes them more crunchy. thought about four stars since they are expensive but the product itself is good.

I am giving it 2 stars because my dog does love it. But the fact remains it is not ...
I have a 30lb terrier/collie mix and he chewed these up in no time. I ordered LARGE and he ate half of one in less then an hour. Also, I read many reviews saying these don't leave little chips/bits of the floor- wrong. There are little bits of this dog chew all over my carpet. I am giving it 2 stars because my dog does love it. But the fact remains it is not long lasting, it does chip off, and the product description is not accurate.

and they are a very good value, as these last and last
I don't usually write reviews on dog teats, however these deserve one. My dog loves these treats, and they are a very good value, as these last and last. I have a very small dog, and I purposely bought these over sized ones to last her a long time. She has been working on the first one off and on for the past 2 weeks, with little more than 1/8 gone. As I said value.....

Not to be confused with Himalayan Dog Chews!!
Don't be fooled by SAME INGREDIENT listing as Himalayan Dog Chews. My companion-dog knows the difference. He will NOT chew these Nepalian ones. I thought he outgrew them. But I purchased the Himalayan kind once more and he devoured the 1st one right away! He missed them. The next ones lasted days as they usually do. Still, He Will Not Touch These Nepal ones, they remain on his floor... until next trash day!

Word of caution if your dog is neurotic over these chews. Mine is and it cost me several vet bills.
I don't want to be the one that throws water on the firey reviews as I have written a few myself about these seemingly wonderful chews but please beware. If your dog is like my Pomeramian Posie, she is manic over these. She wouldn't stop chewing on them until she was exhausted she loved them that much. After a few months and almost driving me to the poor house in buying these as they aren't cheap, I noticed she was shedding hairin chunks and leaving horrible bald patches. After a week I took her to the vet and he said it looked like a food allergy. She was on Blue Buffalo and the cheese was the only new thing. I immediately took her off of them much to her dismay and the vet concluded it was the salt or milk that she must be allergic to. I think that if a dog shews these and takes some time to finish the stick over a period of time there is no harm.. Just beware if your dog is like mine. Obsessive compulsive and has to finish it if it kills her. Just a warning of something to be aware of. I don't intend to be an alarmist.

waste of my money
They are not as strong as the Himalayan Dog Chew, in fact when my order arrived at my door step one was broken. My dogs had them for a few minutes and they were snapping in pieces...so I had to take them away. Never buy this product...waste of my money. If I would of known they were not as durable as the Himalayan Dog Chew I would of never bought them.

Pretty much just really expensive dog food for my dog...
The dog liked them, no problem there. The problem is that they are gone in like an hour. They don't last at all, at least for my dog. She is a German Spitz, and she can finish one of these in about an hour. I don't think eating them that fast is probably good for her. I bought the two 8 oz pieces from this page. She devoured the first one so quickly that I am very reluctant to even give her the second. Honestly, she eats her dog food slower than these things. If you have a pomeranian or something like that, then they would probably last a lot longer. Then again, I see several posts on here about smaller dogs that mention vet bills. I bought them for my dog because she is a medium to large sized dog and I figured she would handle it. I wouldn't call her an aggressive chewer, but she has an incredibly powerful jaw. It snaps right through pork femur bones, so we can't get her those either. I thought since these were supposed to be soft, yet strong and hard to chew through that they might work. She snapped right through them like she does the pork femur bones. The compressed raw hides so far are the only thing that makes good chew toys for her, Unfortunately, I found out that those are all from China and are toxic as hell. I am getting frustrated as just about every product I have found has some reason why my dog can't chew that or it will hurt her.

Five Stars. Dogs love it!
God my dogs love it!!! Yes if your dog is a chewy one they will not last long.. But they're natural.. Better than other nylon or plastic treats and they enjoy it more than antlers...

Unsafe
Product is hard as cement and when chewed will eventually break off into very sharp shards and splinters. Not safe for the dog and therefore I cannot recommend it. I give very , large, meaty bones which occupy my Shepherd for hours and when they eventually splinter I have her "OUT" it and I toss it into the garbage

No deal
We have a yorkie who is compulive chewer. These looked hard but he is able to chew through them much faster than Hymalayan brand with small shavings coming off as he chews.
