Wonderful coloured pencils
I initially bought these for my daughter in Reception upon advice from her teacher. At the time she struggled with gripping her pencils properly and she struggled to bear down hard enough for her writing to be seen when using pencils. The notches on the pencil helped her with her grip. The lead is thick and hard enough, as well as excellent quality, for her writing and drawing to be seen. And the lead rarely breaks, not when she bear's down hard or even when dropped on our hard tiled floor. While more expensive that most other coloured pencils, they are very high quality and definitely worth the price. After regular use for over two and a half years, we are now buying our second set for her. I ended up buying right handed versions of these coloured pencils and regular pencils for my younger daughter when she started school last September. It is a great product.

Excellent Pencils for young children learning to write and draw!
My son (7) has trouble staying focussed when writing and the OT recommended the Easy Stabilo pencils for writing. He uses the pencils and they are easier for him to grip and his handwriting definitely improves when he uses them.As a follow on I got him the colouring pencils too, and he loves them and uses them every day at school. He has his own pencil case with all his Easy pencils in at his workstation in the classroom to support his concentration needs at school and he definitely benefits from using them. The other children love to borrow them as they are easier to use and handle. Maybe school should use these for all children learning to write!

Fatter barrels
These have grooves along the sides to help little fingers make the correct finger grip. Wider than normal pencils making them easier to grip. Pencil sharpener to fit the extra width included.

Groovy
The main reason I got these pencils over others is the grooves and the triangular shape . The grooves are a constant reminder to children to check and correct their grip. We have both a left handed and a right handed set. We also have the Easygraph and Easygraph S range of Stabilo pencils. So as you can tell, I am a big fan of these. They come in a very handy case which can be used for storage and they are a very appealing set of pencils. A little expensive but I think they are worth it.

Great quality, great colours, neat wee case!
This is my third set of these for my seven year old. She has used a set every year since she was four. She actually runs them down. I am unconvinced that the left handed grip makes a difference but my daughter just loved the ownership that these were her special pencils. She was reluctant to colour up until I got her them. She loves the range of colours and they seem brilliant quality. We did buy a separate left handed sharpener so she doesn't need to leave her seat in class.

great, if expensive, set of colouring pencils
My just turned 5 year old son has been fiercely resisting colouring, drawing, writing or anything really that resembles school, and as a consequence his school has referred him to an occupational therapist (ergotherapeut?) in an effort to boost his fine motor skills. I bought these in an effort to try to encourage him to at least try colouring!! I will still have to pretty much force him to sit down as he would much rather be doing something else, but we have had 2 successful colouring sessions so far.. His fine motor skills won't develop overnight, but because these pencils sit nicely in his hand he did feel more confident colouring and seemed to enjoy it- so much so that he actually said 'I didn't know that colouring could be so much fun!' Hopefully we will also have many more successful colouring sessions - but I don't want to push it either!!The colours are very nice and bold, and cover properly unlike some cheap pencils... They are chunkier than most, but sit well in a small hand.. They don't seem to break too easily. They are easy to sharpen and I realise I will have to monitor sharpening as my boy rather oversharpened one so it is now about an inch shorter than the others, not I think because it kept breaking but because he was just enjoying himself!!I gave the pencils 4 stars rather than 5 because they are quite expensive but I suppose if you compare them individually with artist's pencils they aren't so extortionate!I do recommend them, not just for children who are struggling with 'normal' pencils but all children really as I think it will be difficult to go back to 'normal' pencils after these..

A huge difference, worth the money!
I bought these for my 4 year old, he is left handed and teaching him how to hold a pencil and colour in wasn't easy. This was a worthwhile investment, he knows how to hold the pencil (after a short while he got it, thanks to the grip circles on the pencils!) they are of such good quality they'll last a while. I love how the pack opens for left handed people and it included a left handed sharpener. It's made life a lot easier and my son has improved in his colouring... All ready to start formal education! I was worried that he'd be held back by not being able to hold the pencil, these have made a huge difference!

Brilliant product and design
My son is left handed and has hypermobility syndrome which effects his fingers re' pencil grip and comfort of holding a pencil for a long time etc. he loves these pencils as they are grooved down the edges so he can hold them with comfort and doesn't complain that his hand aches. Highly recommend. Quality brill, nice carry case and free sharpener which is always handy as all ours go walkabout in this house!! I also bought the plain ordinary pencil by Stabilo for left handers and he uses it at school and also a friend of his wanted one and she always uses hers. Schools I don't think cater very well for left handed pupils with difficulties so I am so glad I found them. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone even for right handlers with this syndrome.
