This is a cheap set of plain wooden cutouts that can be coloured in with the provided felt pens.Because they are cut outs they are not easy to decorate in a really good way - they are very basic.The provided felts work okay but the colours bleed across the wood so again difficult to make them look very good.However you do get a lot for your money and the 9 year old enjoyed colouring them in.We found we could also paint them with some poster paints which was actually better than using felts and also use glitter glue which worked well on themOverall would recommend for a fun kid activity but not if your planning on actually using them on your proper tree

This decorate your own decorations kit is a great little christmas crafts idea. The set comprises of 30 laser cut thin (balsa?) wood decorations, 5 each of 6 different designs. These are easy to decorate although only a small selection of different coloured felt tip pens are provided and nothing else. I was able to supply my own paints and craft materials to jazz the decorations up a bit. A length of jute twine is provided, these must be cut to length and it should be ensured these are not too long or short to get the 30 lengths required for each of the decorations.A set like this would be typically good for a school class which usually has up to 30 children, at £8.99 (at the time of review) these work out an inexpensive christmas craft at less than 30 pence per child. Simple but enjoyable.

These are excellent for £8.99. They are so much fun for the kids. And you could also use paints or glitter. My daughter decorated these for the tree and she used them all over December as you get 30 so she just kept going back doing more. It’s such a great thing to give a child to let that child be able to not only decorate it but then to see it hung on the tree in all its glory. Absolutely fantastic 5 out of 5

My toddler was really enjoying colouring these ornaments when I noticed my table was covered in ink from the pens. I tried wiping it and the ink wouldn’t come off, i had to scrub my new wood dining table and even then you can still see it abit, so either throw the pens away and use different ones or make sure whenever you are colouring has a cloth underneath

This wooden craft set is very well made, with 30 wooden shapes to colour, with the pens provided. There are 5 reindeer, 5 Santas, 5 snowflakes, 5 elves/ gnomes, 5 trees, and 5 candy canes, so enough for everyone to join in. This is going to be used as one of our run-up-to-Christmas crafts days. They also supply some twine, so you can hang them on the tree or around the home as part of your Christmas decorations. The only downside is the pens, which do seem to run out fast. We used some acrylic pens to finish them off and we also added patterns and different colours to each shape, to give them more dimension and character :) We then added glitter to a few and even tiny pom poms on the tree and Santa and Elf hats. Overall, a fantastic craft set and a perfect Christmas present, especially for a Christmas eve box, which will be a great fun activity to do together on Christmas Eve :)

In this set you get 5 each of Santas, reindeer, elves, candy canes, snowflakes, and trees so 30 in total. The decoratons themselves are quite thin but seem strong.The colours included are fine, but we used acrylic pens on some and paint on others. We used cotton wool trim for Santa.You also get brown string with which to hang the decorations.I actually quite like the decorations left natural wooden colour, but this is a nice project to entertain children pre-Christmas.
