Excellent little pump
I needed to increase the kitchen hot water pressure on a gravity fed supply. Before buying this pump I read all the reviews, and despite there bring some that were less than glowing, decided to give it a chance.I am so pleased I did, for the price it is excellent, the build quality is adequate for the job at hand, it works exactly as required, at a fraction of the cost of a bulkier unit. not super powerful, ideal for a tap, possibly not so much for a shower? Easily doubled the pressure for me.It comes with minimal pipe fittings, so these will be required, but that is to be expected.Tip, plan where pump is being installed, plan the pipe layout, applying some basic common sense, all the required fittings are standard, readily available from the likes of B&Q, screwfix etc.Installation should be well within the capabilities of a competent DIYer, nothing too complex, just make sure everything is good and tight, follow the pump instructions, especially for the flow switch and you should be fine.It does not seem to run hot, even after extended running, no leaks, in fact none of the problems mentioned in other reviews.Great value product, would recommend.

Improved hot water flow to kitchen sink
Easily installed and works well. Not incredibly powerful but makes a difference to our hot water in the kitcheb

apart from the waste of electricity on the pump and additional noise
We live in a place where water pressure is slow so I set up a static tank to supply to the machine with this pump. The pressure switch did not work, so we were using it initially with it turned on all of the time. This seemed ok, apart from the waste of electricity on the pump and additional noise.I did do the test as instructed in the video, and the pump did work in that setting. However I think when used with the standing tank the flow from the tank is not enough for the water to flow thorough the pump and up to the washing machine once the valve on the washing machine opens to accept water. The flow valve therefore does not recognise any movement and so it doesn't turn the pump back on.Anyway after three months of use it is now burn out. I assume this is because the pump was trying to pump water non stop when it wasn't needed, over stressing the pump and overheating it.The pump does not work as advertised.

Well worth it.
Purchased this pump to boost the water pressure to my washing machine which was only getting its supply from gravity fed tank, causing it to pause and throw up an error saying it thought the supply had been shut off. The overall quality seems very good and the pump comes with a flow switch. This is used when the pump is set to auto mode so that when is senses water flow, it switches the pump on and therefore off again when the flow stops when the washing machine shuts off its valve. There is also a manual setting, so pump would run all the time and an off position. The fittings were compatible with the standard flexi hose fittings for washing machines/dishwashers, just had to fit an additional hose. (Easy, as I had a spare - original hose from pipe to pump, new hose from pump to machine)This has completely sorted the problem and the bracket is easily mounted on to the wall too. Well pleased, such a cost effective neat solution!

Good pump......quality an issue though
Pump arrived quickly enough and easy to fit. The water flow switch was a bit fiddly when tryin to attach the water pipe but got it done. I used it to increase the pressure in the whole house, and it worked well for a small pump.....noise was acceptable too. Two issues I had were that the pump body gets quite hot after about 7 minutes of constant use which was a bit worrying. Sadly the pump developed a leak within a few days. Couldn't see exactly where, but it was from the actual body. It's a shame as it was a cost effective solution to low water pressure

Useful improvement in flow
I was puzzled about the fittings needed. It somewhat unhelpfully tells us the pump has 19 mm fittings. However, the switch unit has two different sizes of fitting, one of which couples directly to the pump. The fittings appear to be 3/4in BSP at the pump inlet, and 1/2in BSP at the switch outlet. These appear to be similar to the tails of UK taps, where the required fitting has a captive nut and a fibre washer. I fitted my pump to a 22mm gravity feed system, so I used this: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0D6M1GTML at the upstream inlet, this: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0D6M35LNX at the downstream outlet, with a short length of 15 mm pipe: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B083S67ZZM and a 22 mm x 15 mm reducer: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B073RRWHSMI would have used this: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0DBX1LY4V at the upstream end, but the location made soldering a somewhat difficult task.

Good product and service
Great value. Use it on hot gravity supply to downstairs ceramic disc taps. What a difference to the flow. The pump itself is quiet but because I have mounted it on a thin partition wall any noise is amplified. Not a big deal. Easy to fit and been in use for many months with no problems

While the customer service is good, the product leaves much to be desired
While the customer service is good, the product leaves much to be desired. The inlet adapter went rusty after a few weeks (I received an apology and partial refund), and now the cable connecting the auto switch to the motor has a loose connection. Not the best quality, hence the price.Update 13 Sep 2018 - The pump has become noisy, the sound is metallic; I suspect a worn bearing, as the unit overheats, causing the safety switch to cut out. One would have expected this item to last longer than a year.Update 1 May 2020 - The above pump was changed around the time of that review after the supplier agreed to a 40% discount against a replacement. 18 months later and the bearings have gone again. This pump is used to boost one hot water tap in our kitchen. Unless one needs a cheap pump for occasional use, I would recommend spending a bit more for better quality.
