JacquardProducts 2.25 oz Lumiere Metallic Acrylic Paint, Crimson

I bought this paint specifically for use with my airbrush and with a couple of drops of Vallejo thinners added to the cup, the results have been fantastic. Consistency and coverage are excellent - even a single coat airbrushed over a grey primer gives a superb finish.Many metallic paints simply look 'sparkly' or 'glittery' which is fine enough in its place, however if you are looking to achieve the appearance of actual metal the chances are this is not welcome. Metal can certainly be shiny but it is very rarely 'glittery'; what you are looking for is an effect that is shiny but also smooth and consistent with no overtly visible 'flecks'. And this paint delivers - give it a shake, take off the lid and you'd be forgiven for thinking that you were actually holding a pot of liquid metal. Stunning!The red colour is not as reflective as others (such as the gold), so if you want to give it some extra shine or a more 'automotive' appearance, overspray the dried paint with a quality gloss lacquer and you will get a real depth to the shine.

Gorgeous paint. Currently using it to paint an old pair of comfortable shoes red and it's working perfectly, the photo really doesn't show how well it's working..

IT HAS A GOOD CONSISTENCY, AND GOES ON EASILY.I FOUND IT NEEDS TO BE SHAKEN...(.NOTS TIRRED)TWOCOATS ARE GOOD, BUT THE THIRD WILL GLEAM AND SHINE.ITIS A BIT EPENSIVE, MONEY TO SIZE,BUT SO WELL WORTH IT.

Worked well on restoration of 70 year old item

Didn't have problems spraying it down but the finish is horrible. I wanted a nice crimson red and i get a metallic pink.

Excellent item worked better than any other acrylic paint I’ve used will order again and will be looking at other paints from this range

Vibrant and shiny.But not as metallic as I hoped it would be, compared to other colours I have in this range.. I'm disappointed.

This paint takes 24 hours to cure but you can still paint extra layers before that time. As long as it’s dry before you paint each layer it should fine.I used this paint over a clay sculpture with about 3 layers and the color turned out amazing! The color is shiny and smooth. I have no complaints!

I used this to give that perfect sparkle to the Amanita Muscaria hat I made out of paper mache. I sealed it with Shellac and it was wow magical with the extra metallic sparkle. My daughter won a first place prize for her Halloween costume. It was the little attention to detail the specialty paints added.

This paint is incredible, but I was disappointed in the color of this one because it's not really what I thought it would be. The leather gauntlets I'm working on are dyed with fiebings pro red dye, and this is what the color looks like next to them. The red is on top, and the crimson paint is on a test piece below. It's a nice color, but it leans toward purple. Just be aware of that.

I wanted to paint some urchins I had found and make them ornaments. This paint was so beautiful. And I loved that it covered in one coat and was shiny. Perfect and everyone who saw the urchins, loved the paint!
