Works great. Very simple
I used the pump to pump water out of the lake and irrigate my lawn and gardens. This pump works great. I thought it might need to be mounted on a base due to vibration but that is not necessary. I bought a 1” hose with filter and also a 1 foot cube mesh box to further filter lake water. Priming is straightforward. Didn’t get any clogs or debris from the lake into the pump. The model I got had a built in plastic filter as well. The water pressure was great. There is more than enough pressure to operate an oscillating sprinkler spraying appx 30 feet in both directions. This was at the end of 200 feet of garden hose going up a 10’ slope from the lake and another 20’ up to a side yard. Pump seems well built and sturdy. Didn’t get hot after 3-4 hours of continuous use. There were all adapters and accessories included in box.

a good value
This pump works well for lawn and garden irrigation. It has already paid for itself - even if my town did not have an outdoor watering ban, I would have already paid more for water than I paid for the pump. The image shows the pump with 2 1-inch to garden-hose-thread adapters (WKUP F001 NPT to GHT Adapter - 1 NPT Male x 3/4 GHT Male, https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B078KV2S93/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1 ), and a 'foot' valve (Parts2O TC2503LF 1-Inch Foot Valve, https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009ZTV3DK/ref=ppx_od_dt_b_asin_title_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 ) that retains water in the feed hose when the pump is off. The foot valve is connected to the feed hose with another adapter and a female-female coupling (Gilmour Brass x NH 807734-1001 Heavy Duty Hose Connector Double Female Swivel 3/4 inch, 3/4-Inch by 3/4-Inch, https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000FJYR5K/ref=ppx_od_dt_b_asin_title_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1 ). The image was taken as I was testing the setup in a bucket. In use the foot valve is suspended in an old washing machine tub, which is in a pond. Others have described using buckets with punched holes to avoid pumping mud and debris. My experience is that a standard garden hose does not collapse in use as a feed hose. Water is pumped through another standard garden hose to a lawn sprinkler. The pump provides enough pressure to run the sprinkler over an about 15-foot vertical rise.In my experience the pump needs to be well-primed and to be connected to a filled feed hose. On first use with my setup I fill the feed hose by submerging the whole hose in the pond. I bring the hose to the pump which I stand on its end. With the output side hose arranged higher than the pump I pour clean water in the feed until the pump chamber is full then connect the feed hose. When first working with the pump I didn't have the drain plug tightened enough and I wasn't getting good pressure - now I am careful to make sure all the fittings on the feed side are tight. In 'answered questions' the manufacturer says the pump is rated for continuous duty and that the pump is cooled by feed water. I have been running the pump sometimes 16 hours a day without a problem.Bottom line - highly recommended.

Good Pump
For a midsize pump this is very good. Noise is very reasonable and pump is reliable. I use it to drop the water level in my inground pool in the winter. Reason I gave 4 as opposed to 5 stars is that after two years (ie, out of warranty) and used maybe 10 times, I went to pick it up and the handle broke off. I contacted customer service and asked about a replacement handle, advised that I was willing to pay if needed. They responded that they would look into it. That was the last I ever heard.

A powerful pump
This was an excellent pump for our garden. We used it to pumped rain water from the drum down spout next house down to about 100 feet to the end our property. This worked perfectly.I can tell the material is a heavy duty without any worry of breaking it for just 1 use. This pump will be use constantly to transfer water from one tank to another especially during summer.I will update this review next summer.

NOT RELIABLE. Too expensive and not a good return for your money.
Unit looks good, nice and clean. However functionality/Reliability is not acceptable. It worked good for only 2-weeks and then it stopped working and the motor gets too hot. Suction line is always in 5ft of water(clean water). Even installed a water level cut out float to keep it from running dry. Received Feb. 10th, 2025 installed Mar. 3rd 2025 and died Mar 17th, 2025. Amazon chat says can't return unit and no other option. I DO NOT recommend this pump. Too costly for its reliability/performance

Strong pump.
Bought the 1.5 hp deep well pump, used it on my old shallow well( pump is at 35’-40’) submerged about10’. Used it to fill my above ground pool using the garden hose attachment so total lift height is about 40’. I was astonished by the flow rate. It is stronger/faster than the pump on my house(deep well). It was so strong it was running the well dry. I was worried about the pump but it restarted after disconnect the cord. Ordered a plug in float switch and it flawlessly filled my 10000 gallon pool over 3 days. If it had not been for the well filling so slowly it would have filled the pool much faster. Going to see how it does watering the garden, and will update. I hate risking my home well pump on the garden each year. I will update with video and photos. I really like this pump vs the jetter style since I did not have to deal with an intake hose or foot valve.

Works good if you could get it started
This pump needs to be primed every time it’s used, and the problem is that the prime water runs downhill into your intake hose and is no longer in the pump. So then the pump doesn’t work and shuts itself off. So we try to lift up the intake hose to prevent drainage and we still have a lot of problems getting this pump to run. I don’t think I would buy the pump again, since there are non-priming pumps on the market.
