Bead Loom Kit Basic

This was the fourth loom I'd tried. I found the Jewel Loom was put under an awful lot of tension and I can see why other reviewers have said the plastic ends up cracking. It's also quite long, so you end up wasting a lot of thread at each end. I then tried the Beadsmith Loomeez, which was very flimsy for the price and I didn't think would last very long at all. Following this came a metal loom from eBay that resembled the Beadsmith one, but was absolute rubbish and didn't function properly at all - it went in the bin.Then came this loom from Peakdale. How I wish I'd spotted this in the first place. It is easy to assemble, it is well made and best of all, it is very sturdy. This is how a loom should be made. It also comes with plenty of thread, needles and tiny beads - enough to make your first bracelet. Thank you, Peakdale, for making a loom that is fit for purpose!

This is an ideal kit if you want to find out if bead weaving is for you, without breaking the bank. Would have been 5 stars if it came with proper & easy to understand instructions, however there are numerous tutorial videos on YouTube that help

Came with everything needed to start doing some basic beading. The beads included are decent quality, quite uniform and minimal 'culling' of weirdly shaped beads was required.Unit itself was simple and easy to put together, and seems very study. It uses metal 'springs' to form the teeth of the loom and this works very well as it's smooth so no snagging thread as you string it.Came with nice instructions on how to bead weave, as well several printed sheets with grids on them to plot designs on, all on good quality paper.

A lovely beginner loom with plenty of string and beads to get started. Instructions are a bit vague for doing wider designs but there are plenty of tutorials available online for this.

This is describe as a toy but it really isn't suitable for children hence the low score. If it were in a craft category I woul dhave rated it much higher. It is a fab device that enables you to re-create beautiful bead weaving projects.

The first bead loom arrived incomplete but after phoning the supplier he offered an apology and complete replacement at no charge. I was also contacted by the manufacturer who explained that there had been a batch of bead looms which were sent out incomplete and again I received an apology. The loom is well made and quite durable although I think a small child would have difficulty using it. It is more suitable to an older child who is into crafts.

A bit tricky to use, and there's no instructions for putting it together or anything, but it sturdy and seems to work well

Great piece of kit, would be better if it included a small magnetic sticker.
