Q: would this help to stop dye going onto skin from dye transfer of a dress please?

It should do, I used it to stop dye coming off a blue dyed cotton fabric , it worked well .

Q: Can i use the fixative after i have dyed the clothes?

You differently can use it after dying your clothes.

Q: Does it work on bleach stains?

This isn’t a dye it’s to seal the dye. I haven’t tried to dye any bleached items but I don’t think it would work for that.

Fixed my ruined trousers!

I had a pair of bright blue trousers that I spilled wine on. I thought they were ruined, but this helped me give them a second life. Will be trying it again in the future!!

Follow the instructions and it will do what you need it to.

I have never dyed anything before, I followed the instructions and results were satisfactory. I would advise preparing everything well in advance, do a mental run through first, then go to it. Since this was my first experience of this process I under did it and will have to do it a second time but I was satisfied with the product. Purchased the colour and fixative also. Colour did not run in the wash.

I had previously used Dylon dye and it didn’t work so tried this it done the job although I was lazy and put it through my machine which is not recommended it done the job and I just made sure I thoroughly cleaned my machine no harm done

Worked better when ussing the hot method of dying

Worked well, colour was great, I found I got a more intense colour when using the hot method rather than the cold.
