Actionable, Profitable, Healthy Motivation at its Very Best
To be honest, if I hadn't connected with Shep on Twitter, I can't swear I would have made the purchase. I tend to be inclined toward really specific titles (though the sub-title here was enough for me). But I'm incredibly grateful to have bought the book. The book is packed with what I'll call "actionable motivation." The author clearly holds those he works with to a high standard - but it's abundantly clear that he does it for the right reasons. Not only does it make for good business, there's a genuine personal interest in seeing his people become the best they can be. It's also abundantly clear that this is a man who practices what he preaches, and that's surely to be admired. If I can paraphrase, amazing people as posited here are prepared to be amazing, they're proactive, they seek out feedback, they voluntarily take on responsibility, they're authentic, they turn challenges into opportunities and they have an unrelenting focus on excellence. A wonderful set of principles but easier said than done. Shep does a great job, though, in teaching how these traits can be learned and can become habitual. None of them require brilliance. They require, pride, discipline, compassion and an eagerness to learn and help. Qualities we can all aspire to. I'm not certain if I'm allowed to live in the middle :) I'm not going home just yet, but I'm not prepared to crown myself as amazing. But Shep's book will serve as a continual reminder for me off those traits that really make the difference - personally and financially. An effort well worth making. Thanks and Shep, stay amazing!

More wisdom from the master
Shep is a master of understanding the customer experience, and reminding us how damn important it is! This book is no different. By the time you put it down, you'll be wriggling with excitement, trying to dream up ways to surprise and delight your customers.

AMAZE, AMAZE AND AMAZE AGAIN!
This book is truly AMAZING! As I began reading the book, it consistently got better and better. Each chapter builds on towards the next, creating moments of magic chapter after chapter.There are countless concepts, examples and principles given to utilize in business as well as in everyday life. The author talks about respect, being authentic and going the extra mile in ways that keep you eager to learn more.The single most important thing that jumped out at me when reading, was when the author stated that " Everyone in your organization is personally accountable for supporting one single purpose-the purpose of your business.The purpose of your business-of any business-IS TO ACQUIRE AND HOLD ON TO CUSTOMERS" The author went on to say that it doesn't matter whether you are the CEO, working in the mailroom, or anything in between, everyone is held accountable to the purpose. I couldn't agree more!This book is a treasure trove of many choices to amaze your clients and keep them coming back time and time again.

A Practical Guide for Amazing Service
Shep Hyken does it again! I thoroughly enjoyed this book for three reasons. First, it offers clear guidance that an individual can apply right away to become a customer service super star. Second, Shep's conversational writing style makes the book easy to read and understand. It's packed with practical suggestions and relatable examples. Finally, the book provides a framework customer service leaders can use to challenge their teams to reach even higher. I've learned I can count on Shep to write great customer service books, and this one is no exception.

Great Read
Great read! Very informative and lots of good advice. Shep Hyken really does an awesome job putting together a book that could help anyone in dealing with customers and how one can change a pretty much sticky situation into a happy ending. It may not work all the time, but most of the time.

You don't have to be a business owner to find value in what Shep Hyken discusses in this book. With our growing culture of customer no-service, the suggestions, the practices and the ideas he outlines would improve all of our experiences. Give this book to anyone who deals with people.
