It's a snug fit and seems to protect the 'phone on all sides. I keep a glass screen protector on the 'phone as well, and the sensitivity is still good even though I can feel a slight click when pressing on one corner. I've cut off the outside of the Bixby button and it's still waterproof. It's easy to remove and replace, just be careful not to bend the back corner too much when taking it off.With this style of case I've sometimes found the camera flash makes the picture look foggy as the light leaks around the baffles and reflects off the inside of the cover. That happened the first time I tried it, but I re-fitted the case and made sure it was properly seated on the back of the 'phone and the problem was solved.This case is very similar to my last one (branded Temden), as if they were both based on the same original design, and the build quality is similar. This one is narrower with n-n-nineteen olive green dots on the sides, and looks slightly less protected around the front. The old one lasted two and a half years until the buttons started falling out.The heart monitor doesn't work through the case. The fingerprint reader works well enough for the swipe down/up action but I haven't tried it for reading fingerprints. The power plug hole is too narrow for some plugs and a lot of OTG adaptors.

Pros: The case is waterproof - I followed the test instructions, case was submerged for 30 mins and the test paper inside was dry. So that was all good. The case feels fairly well made. You also get a wrist strap in the box which I wasnt expecting but was a welcome surprise as I want to hang the phone around my neck from a lanyard when wading in rivers (hence the reason for buying the case).Sound quality and microphone seem ok even with the waterproof seals are closed, but obviously are even better when they are open.Cons: The transparent screen on the case front scratches really easily. I've had the case on my phone for 1 day and it looks like it's been on for a few months. The other problem is the screen is extremely reflective making it difficult to see the screen in many light conditions. I wouldn't buy the case again based on these two issues... they are quite annoying.

Good replacement for my old case does the job

Tried other cases but this one out shines the rest.

This case absolutely keeps your phone safe from knocks and water. It also unfortunately keeps you from using the hands free option on your phone because the person you are talking to feels like they are talking underwater. Secondly keep your passwords strong in your mind because the fingerprint part is so hit and miss I had to start my banking app all over again because it locked me out. In a nutshell its safe very safe because using the damn thing is so much more complicated. Luckily mine is a second one for the charity I run which is mostly used for emails etc. May modify it so its not waterproof but safe from knocks.

I bought this because my screen is cracked and I was worried about being unable to keep my phone clean in the pandemic. On that front this is great - it's very durable and easy to wipe down when I get home. I had hoped to take my phone out of this case when I'm at home and just use it when out, but it is a bit tricky to open - not as easy as I imagined anyway. People say they can hear me speaking easily when I talk to them with this case on, and the sound quality is good for videos etc, but it does make the screen less sensitive which is quite irritating and a good reason not to use this case all the time. On the whole though, I'm pleased with it and will continue using an least until we get a vaccine.

I bought this case for my Galaxy S8, while looking for a military specs waterproof smartphone and navigation device. While the, suppsedly military grade, Galaxy S7 Active, failed during its first test (on a sport boat), and have just been sent back to the manufacturer in America, the non-mil grade, Galaxy S8, armed with this rather surprisingly robust (as for its simple, and plastic only construction) shell-case, seems to be passing all shower tests without a hitch so far, (even at rather significant and constant speeds in the rain - above 60mph - which can be much more challanging for a waterproofing design, than, say, a short, IP68 immersion). Product arrived quickly, and the seller got in touch within a week, just to offer any help, if, for some reason, product was not up to scratch. So far, it seems to be working well. Using WiFi and a wireless charger (which may fit, leaving a small, but acceptable air-gap - approximately 3mm - unless the charger is small itself ), you may avoid the frequent re-opening of both, the USB and the mini jack watertight flap-doors, which parts, also seem to be design rather well, as for this lightweight, and rather appealingly siple case design.
