Reason for purchase and experience:My Gooseneck kettle has a lot of limescale and is a pain to clean at times. So bought this for when I can't be bothered to clean the limescale but don't want the limescale in my tea. It's good quality, study, mesh feels solid and does what is supposed to do without any issues.

This seemed like a relatively expensive item for its size and function, however, sometimes you get what you pay for. I use this for loose tea and it does the trick. I also tested it out for cleaning out a coffee pot and it does indeed catch the grounds well.It allows me to tip used tea (or coffee) directly into the food caddy with a reasuring thud, knowing it will be empty and easy to clean after that, and without mess. So, I would recommend it as a tea strainer.

My copy of the Brabantia Stainless Steel Sieve works like a charm, looks good, does exactly what I want it to and fits our cups, and mugs perfectly.Oh, and it's a Brabantia so quality is assured.

I got fed up with plastic strainers gradually getting darker as tannin dyed them. Or metal strainers going rusty within a few uses. This Brabantia strainer does neither, is dishwasher-proof and looks good.As an added bonus it is also good at straining tea leaves and is guaranteed as well.6 months later: Darned handle just fell off. Reduced from 5 stars. Later, restored to 5 stars for customer service and fast replacement

Slighly more expensive than most but build quality is great!Amazing for coffee, we put few spoons of coarse grind and pour over hot water from the kettle slowly, the results are great.

Brought this use as a tea strainer and it’s perfect.Great size and small hole so no leafs get through.Sits over the mug nicely so doesn’t need holding when pouring.Really sturdy and has no bendy at all to the handle which is great.Great value for moneyOverall I’m really happy with this item and would definitely recommend it.

This strainer is great. I was a bit worried about getting it because some other customers said theirs broke, but this product has a 5yr guarantee so I bought it. It works perfectly fine. I use it to strain milk have had no problems with errant bits getting through.
