RÖSLERS95270 Sieve Stainless Steel 18/10 Round Handle 20 cm

This is a heavy duty sieve. Slightly longer handle and heftier than most others. This is in my opinion not designed for fine sifting of flour etc. It is however great for washing and rinsing food stuffs and robust enough to pass soups sauces and gravies which is exactly what I purchased it for. The holes in the mesh as quite large so if you try rinsing something like Raw basmati rice it won't work as the rice grain get stuck in the mesh. Ordinary long grain rice is fine though. One demerit, the rim is a heavy duty construction and after washing up you find there is water trapped in the rim so you need to remember to give it a good shake out before you put it away. Otherwise good performance and expect to last many years (provided the water trapped in the rim does not cause rusting)

This is lovely and sturdy, but the holes in it are not quite as small as necessary for some foods - eg sesame seeds fall through it. So would need another for things like that or smaller.

Will likely outlast me. Quality tools make any job easier and this is no exception.

Without a doubt the best sieve I've ever had the pleasure to handle. Bar none, 100%. It's solid. The lettuce in our house has never been so well drained.
