A nice addition
Smaller than expected, but very pretty and sleek. Not very heavy but solid enough to not break at any moment. Pretty pleased.

Still keep turning it over every now and then as I do like the patterns you get at the start, before it turns into a simple mound of granules.

Fun desk toy

Dissapointed
Unfortunately this did not work as well as I had expected. The sand falls through and the first few drops stick up with then the weight of the rest of it means that it just falls like a standard hourglass. We had seen one on show somewhere and the iron filings stood upright and made strong shapes. Unfortunately, the magnet on this one did not appear to be as strong which is why I returned it.

Fun product well packaged
I selected this one because the base was natural wood color and flat. Was not sure about beveled edge but it is nice. (Was told metal base scratches the glass.) Fun to watch the iron filings form different shapes. Hourglass was packed in styrofoam shell inside a nice box with the base and arrived in perfect condition.

Die Sanduhr ist wirklich faszinierend. Sie sieht aus wie abgebildet und läuft nach meiner Messung 37 Sekunden. Der Magnet ist sehr stark, sodass die Uhr stabil auf dem Holzbrett steht.
