Was looking for a timer that I could use to alternate my sit or stand position at my desk - this does the job nicely! Some visitors have commented on it too.

Its all very well and good having timers on your phone but it means you go on your phone. This causes lots of frantic beeping and its annoying. This is a beautiful object and it lets you work in calm and peace.

A lovely novelty gift - slightly smaller than expected but good value.

It remains very sturdy and it’s very fun to have. I love seeing the white sand falling.🙂

I’ve wanted a way to track focus times when working at the desk. After several failed apps I decided to revert to a more traditional and analog way. This is great. It looks nice, comes with a helpful stand, is quiet and runs 30 minutes nicely.

It comes in white sand instead of the green-ish sand you see in the picture but for me that was irrelevant, other than that the hourglass is exactly as pictured.I timed mine several times (5+) at 30m10s - 30m14s. Obviously there will be some discrepancies seeing as it's sand passing through a tiny gap & I'm guessing humidity and weather conditions play a role in how fast it passes through.There is something to be said for an hourglass' visualization of time, it goes 30 minutes both ways, no fast tracking, no delaying it. It is what it is.I use mine sometimes to force myself to at least take 30 minute breaks in between cigarettes when I find myself smoking heavily in the evenings. Other than that - it's just a nice gimmick on my desk that I like flipping over from time to time.

Very very fragile!! It doesn't take much to break this one. It is very decorative; but not very practical: The glass is very thin and totally unprotected because of the nature of the design. Standing on the wooden base, this piece is actually less stable than without it. So the base is really just a decoration. Moreover; because of the tall shape with the relatively narrow base this hourglass is never truly stable; especially after you flip it over to get the sand flowing; as the center of mass is shifted upward. Then it is REALLY unstable. It is a beautiful piece of decoration; and it counted the half hour accurately (before it toppled over and got broken). Therefore it is more decorative than truly usable; and you really must handle it with (unrealistic) care if you want it to last for more than a couple of hours like mine did.

Ich verwende Sie bereits seit einiger Zeit und sie funktioniert immer noch einwandfrei. Die Qualität des Materials und der Handwerkskunst ist hervorragend und ich bin zuversichtlich, dass ich sie noch lange nutzen werde.Insgesamt bin ich sehr zufrieden mit meiner Sanduhr für die Pomodoro-Technik. Timern funkar bra och ser snyggt ut, men basplattan saknades. Ville inte lägga tid på att skicka tillbaka produkten, eftersom den funkar förstås utan basplattan. Så det är ett antagligen ett betyg för företaget, snarare än för produkten.
