I've had this eye mask for a couple of years. It's certainly better that the typical eye mask you might pick up at an airport, but in my experience the Tempur Sleep Mask is better as I'll explain later.First of all, the Sleep Master does a good job of blocking out light. The large, padded head band nicely covers the ears rather than using elastic that tends to cut into them. I sleep with earplug in so the padding over the ears help minimize any pressure on the earplugs when sleeping on my side. The Sleep Master also looks pretty cool. First time my girlfriend saw it she commented that I looked like a Persian prince. It's made of a satin type material which is nice to the touch. However the material is where the problems begin - it's so silky and slippery that it doesn't stay in place. Tightening it up will help, but this puts additional pressure on my eyelids/eyeballs which is uncomfortable (and probably not very healthy). The other problem with the material is that it gets quite warm and doesn't breath very well leading to a sweaty face in summer.I see some purchasers have reported problems with fraying - I too had some irritating loose fibres around the nose slot. After cutting off the strands with sharp scissors the fraying has not returned. Even after machine washing (place it inside a pillow case on a delicates cycle).As I mentioned, my preferred eye mask is a Tempur Sleep Mask. This is made out of a more towel-like weave that provides better grip and wicks away moisture in the summer. Most importantly, the Tempur is contoured to make cavities for the eyes so that it doesn't rub up against my eyelashes in the way the Sleep Master does.Still, although I prefer the Tempur, I sometimes switch to the Sleep Master for a change - such as when travelling or the Tempur's in the wash. If like me, you use a sleep mask every night, I suggest buying both products and seeing what suits you best. After all it's a small investment for something you wear 8 hours every night.

have tried various eye masks, I'm a light sleeper so any noise/sound or change in light wakes me & I struggle to resume sleep again. this eye mask though gave me the most luxurious night's rest. satiny feel of fabric caresses your face & holds you in comfort all night. doesn't slip or move much so sleep is undisturbed. would most definitely recommend & buy again if I have need or as a gift.

4 starsPositive: This is a nice and comfortable product, the satin style finish means it's soft on this skin and the thick padding makes it comfortable and ensures darkness. Comes with some ear plugs which I haven't used as I have my own moulded plugs however there combination would provide a restful sleep. The Velcro on the rear is positioned on to the product so it won't interfere with hair or skin which is a nice touch.The negative: The colouring on this product will come off on to your pillow. It's been a hot week which likely means sweating while I'm asleep, I woke up to a darkened patch of blue on my cotton pillow cases which are white so it's hard not to miss it!That being said a single wash and the colouring has come out of the pillow cases.All in all this is a good product, I've tried several sleep marks as I can't sleep in anything other than total darkness. Despite the annoyance of the dye transferring (which was easily remedied) this is a great product and you will be glad you spent that extra money over the cheaper versions.Sizing is bigger than you expect so if like me you have a big fat head don't worry this will still fit.

Works as intended and blocks out the light and is confortable. Doesn't block sound (not why I bought it but some reviewers mentioned it)Wouldn't be good in hot countries and here in the UK at height of summer it's too hot around your head. Apart from that it's fine.Some reviewers mentioned the advert said sound proofing. This is for blocking out light only. It has no sound blocking properties at all.

This is the best eye mask I have ever purchased!! Its wraparound style is really comfortable and unlike the usual eye masks it doesn't have a thin piece of elastic which usually is quite tight around the ears. The fabric is soft and lets in no light at all. Although the wrap covers the ears I would recommend the use of earplugs as well. I have worn the wrap for 2 nights, with and without the earplugs and with really does block out sound. I wish I'd discovered this wrap before, as I've had many sleepless nights , due to my other half snoring ,and sleepless days as I'm a night worker . Although this product may seem a bit pricey compared to other eye masks it certainly is worth every penny !!! don't waste your money on the cheap ones, it really is a false economy.I will be recommending this fab product to all my colleagues . These are great as I use during the day when I'm on nightshifts. They block out the light from all angles as they are quiet wide around the whole face as the pictures show. The material is very soft and I didn't find it uncomfortable around my head because of this. I know some reviews said they make you sweat, but I did not find this the case. They come with ear plugs which are comfy and really do block out the daytime noise. It is a bit pricey for what they are, but to be honest, it worth it to be able to sleep properly when you do shift work and they definitely do help get to sleep during daylight times.
