Very happy with product, used for four days on my driveway seal cracks. Excellent.

I have used "higher end" torches that may be a bit more adjustable but I wanted something with a hose instead of having to maneuver a bottle around. I have been able to put this on my bench while brazing small sculptures with no issue. I personally would prefer the ignition button to be more toward the handle but from a safety standpoint it probably helps prevent people from hitting the ignitor by mistake. I am not a professional so I really needed something that would provide heat in the small area not particularly for sweating pipes and such so I can't speak as to how plumbers may feel about this unit but for my needs it was exactly what I was looking for and I don't need a striker so I am happy and this should be perfect for also running a small firebrick forge.

Now I can use my mapp gas and do it safely. And I can use it on other propane tank.

This is a general purpose tourch that works well providing an adjustable flame for soldering and heating objects. Perfect for the DIYers of the world. The torch does not have the fine temperature control of better quality torches but that's not needed for most work and for the money you can't beat it. The convience of having the torch at the end of a hose is great espically when working in tight spaces.The control knob that attaches to the bottle was very hard to turn but after cycling it dozen times it operates smoothly and still seals well.

Purchased to aluminum braze a crack in a dirt bike block. The flame is all over the place. Not consistent at all! So bad I was unable to complete my project and had better results using a cheap bottle head torch instead. If your just starting a fire this will work. If you need a stable useable torch flame this is not the product for you.
