Mini Airbrush Compressor with Tank AS186 Kit 1
I bought this compressor with the hope of improving my airbrushing skills. Previously I had used compressed air in cans which is expensive and they do not have a very controllable output. Guessing the correct air pressure was very hit and miss and got worse as the can contents depleted. With the compressor, the air pressure is easily regulated via the black knob which you lift and turn to achieve the desired air pressure on the gauge. The tank prevents the pulsing effect of the compressor while a pressure switch controls the stopping and starting of the compressor. When running, the compressor is fairly quiet, certainly not hard on the ears! The compressor came with a double action gravity fed airbrush and a hose to connect the 2 together. To date, I have only used the compressor and airbrush for practice and testing. The airbrush worked well with the ink I was using for practice. The compressor cut in and out as it should though I was a little surprised at the frequency which it did so. I guess the tank does not hold as much as I imagined it would and also depends on what air pressure you use to spray. Either way, the air is free so there are no concerns about wasting it doing lots of practice runs prior to some serious spray painting.I would recommend this mini compressor to anyone with an interest in airbrushing. Hopefully it will last a good while, guess only time will tell!

I have found this airbrush to be just fine for scale model work
Top notch for the price. Appears well-made. Runs quietly, cutting in and out when needed to maintain pressure in the tank. Very steady airflow to the airbrush. A note on the "free" included brush: contrary to some other reviews, I have found this airbrush to be just fine for scale model work, getting good even coverage after just a few minutes practice to get the feel of it. You might want to hold off investing in a more upmarket airbrush until you've had a play with this one. Of course, there are more expensive kits out there with more advanced features, butOverall, this is a great little kit and at the price, you can't go wrong.

Great little kit
Great little kit. I've had a chance to use it a few times now and I'm very happy. The pressure regulator isn't great as it just keeps letting air out meaning the compressor never stops if you go below the internally set pressure.

Airbrush, my opinion.
This is my first airbrush kit but I've used it a lot and find not fault with it what so ever, its very quiet and doesn't pulse the flow due to the tank. It also has a condenser on it to prevent build up of water in the compression tank, just be sure to purge the tank after use. The airbrush supplied isn't the best on the market but works well enough and serves my purposes of scale model painting just fine. I've used it for extended periods of time and its not overheated or crapped out on me so I'm very happy with it, for the price a decent piece of kit imho.

Perfect for Hobby Work
This is one of the quietest and most compact compressor/air tank designs I have come across. It has all the extras, moisture trap, pressure guage and pressure control valve that are needed for airbrush use. It seems to be well made and likely to have a long working life.

My first airbrush and compressor.
This is the first airbrush set-up I've ever bought, yes it is very quiet compared to the ones I've heard on videos.I've no idea how long it will last mechanically but I think I've made a good purchase. Anyway if it screws up I'll be back to edit this review. All in all...a big thumbs up from me, my only problem is that I can't airbrush to save my life.

Great value kit
Great value kit, I haven't had a chance to use it yet but it looks like it will do the job.

Excellent introduction into the world of airbrushing
There are slightly cheaper kits out there but i was looking for a double action airbrush with a gravity feed for doing small work which this kit supplies. The compressor actually comes in a metal case wrapped around 4 of the six sides leaving the back and area with the pressure gauge visible for adjustment.Only used it for some undercoating so far but it's easy to use, and fairly quiet especially if you place it on a carpeted floor. From things i've read on the tinterweb it's best to get some paint thinners and cleaning solution. I now have these but the first time I used it I just cleaned it with water and an old toothbrush and it seemed to do the job.
