2pcs ATMEGA328P with Bootloader 4x4 SMD to DIP28 and 16MHz Crystals, 1M Resistor, 22pF Capacitors Kit

These work quite well even if they are a bit more expensive. Then main thing I like is the pin markings which means I don't need to have a cheat sheet right next to me the whole time. The footprint of these devices are exactly like the PDIP version and they come with the bootloader alread programmed into them.Be aware however that if you're breadboarding on a wireless ( the ones everyone seems to be using ), You might want to run them slower than 16MHz ( if they give you problems ). You are less likely to have problems at higher frequencies ( as if 16 MHz is all that fast ) if you put the clock circuit ( caps and crystal ) right next to the chip and keeps leads short.I most always use actual SMD or PDIP devices but this is a real handy alternative and I plan on keeping a few on hand for when I just want to slam something together for proof of concept. Then I'll reclaim these from the breadboard and put them back into stock before making a circuit board.
