Fabulous!
Not sure what the green one is like but I bought the red version with a damaged box from Amazon Warehouse. Just a great little tool with well engineered, intelligent mounting adapter, should you need it.I've used in in pro photo studio for setting up industrial shots and it's really fast and accurate to get consistent results: wish I'd bought one sooner.Self leveling works well up to a point, which is fair enough at this price point. Beyond a few degrees it shuts down but you can either buy a more expensive unit with a more forgiving pendulum system or just get it close to level and you're up and running. Well done to the Bosch engineers for developing this little beauty.

Invaluable - Saves hours of measuring and marking
This is another ‘wish I’d bought one years ago’ tool. When I think of all the jobs I’ve done in the past few years, messing about with spirit levels and every type of marker imaginable. What a waste of time; this really is a job accelerator, completely removing the need for all that.Coupled with a tripod for outdoor work and a telescopic pole for indoors, this is a major time-saver. Doing some tiling recently where I needed a precisely straight line, the laser was a real game-changer in terms of precision and keeping things aligned reliably. There are many lasers on the market now, and I chose this one largely on the strength of a friend’s review plus a few online. The unit is really quite tiny, smaller than a Rubik’s Cube if you can remember those. It weighs very little and takes just 2 x AAA batteries; I’ll speak about this more at the end. Setting up is simple: Mount on tripod or pole and slide up the outer lens cover, at which point the laser switches on. As long as the unit is level to the eye (you don’t need a spirit level) then it will self-level within a few seconds. That’s it.The unit projects a cross onto the opposite wall in a bright green light that is easy to see. This makes aligning pictures on a wall, or tiles, really simple and precise. The laser light of course cannot be disturbed by the job in hand so is a perfect marker to align work to. For floor tiling it’s also superb, especially when combined with a telescopic pole with its minimal footprint. The Bosch unit isn’t without fault, but with no other products to compare against this might be me just being fussy:- The mounting unit that clamps to the pole, as well as the laser itself, are really lightweight; great for transporting but easily disturbed when in use. That said, they are also easy to realign if knocked, something that pleasantly surprised me.- The unit really eats batteries, which I _was_ surprised about. Some high amp-hour rechargeable batteries might be advisable as a pair of AAAs only seem to last a weekend of DIY such as tiling. Not a disaster but possibly not great for the planet?- There is no protective carry case for the unit, and it’s vulnerable in its cardboard box. I’ll be buying a case of foam I can carve out to fit, to keep it safe on the workshop shelf.Overall verdict: Recommended

Great DIY tool - wouldn't be without it
This is a really great tool when you want to accurately level items. I recently used it for tiling my bathroom - so much easier than using a spirit level. As I don't have a tripod, I usually clamp my laser level to the nearest door (which works well). The unit blinks the laser to tell you that the laser output is not level (i.e. you have exceeded the maximum gimbal angle). The only bad thing is trying to get the unit back in the cardboard box at the end of the day (it's really difficult to work out how to make the unit and the clamp fit into the box)

As advertised I guess but wouldn't recommend. Bad Value. Pretty barebones compared to competitors.
Will start off this review by saying that it works and will give you a level cross lasered onto the oposing wall so no problem there if that's all you need. My big issue with it is that it's overpriced for a pretty barebones tool. At the same time as buying this I also got a HYCHIKA laser level from amazon, cheeper than this and better in almost every way. With this Bosch the laser is dimmer, you can't lock the leveling function and have the beam on at the same time(making it useless for drawing a line on a ceiling or a straight line at an angle, something you might want to occasionally do) and the angle projected by the beam isn't very wide which is a little annoying and reduces it's versatility quite a bit if you're working in a small space. The bosch also isn't any better made than the cheep one I got either, seems about the same if not worse. One positive I will give to this is that the accessories it comes with are really nice, ideal for clamping the thing to pretty much anything and pointing it where you need it, would be even better if you could use it with the leveling function locked and the beam on too but sadly that's not possible, really is a shame as their adjustable clamp mount would be ideal for positioning the thing at any angle and projecting a line.Honestly if you get this you're just paying for the Bosch brand and not for a better product.

Impressed
This a really useful cross hair laser level. I bought the Bosch because it was on offer and i like all of their other products that i have. The front window slides up and down to switch it on and off. The self levelling is good, if the unit is with a few degrees the laser floats and works, if it is not level enough the laser switches off.It is very sensitive to vibration, so a few moments to let it settle and its fine. The clamp supplied is very adjustable. It has an adjustable double ball arm, and the back plate has a screw lift/lower slide. The grip clamp is big enough (opens to 60mm) to clamp onto many things around the house, banister, shelves, curtain poles etc. I just clamp it to a 7 foot aluminium step ladder which is lent against another all, infinitely adjustable. Its perfect for home indoor use but not tried it seriously outside over 5m.
