I gave my front entryway an Amazon makeover, and was having trouble finding a real sheepskin rug/throw for my bench. I ordered several from Amazon and other online sources, but they weren't real and needed to be returned. So, I was understandably nervous to try this one, but I'm so glad I did! The rug is thick and high quality, with a gorgeous tinge of burnt caramel color on the tips. It pairs beautifully with the boho pillows and the macrame wall hanging, also from Amazon. It has a wonderfully luxurious, designer feel and I couldn't be happier!

It's a bit smelly out of the box, but I'm sure it will disappear, as with any animal skin/tanned hide. The fur is incredibly long and soft. I'm very impressed.

I am a rug person! I am so pleased with this rug. I have never purchased a sheepskin rug before. It is absolutely stunning. It makes my other rugs look obsolete (and I love my other rugs). I will definitely purchase another one!

I ordered the Icelandic Sheepskin in a white wool base undercoat, with tinges and streaks of Greyish color.I'm no expert in the distinguishing the different type of sheep skin and or their wool / fur, but I can tell this is an Authentic Sheepskin, with actual sheep leather on the entire inside of the fur, and the fur hangs very nicely with Long Curly-ish Wool, the wool itself hangs on average about 5 inches off the dense undercoat when dry and in it's curly shape.But if you could get a hard ruler down the the very skin, and measure the length of the wool from the actual skin n beneath, it would on average from skin to the tips of the Fully Stretched out Curly Wool is easily 6.5-7.25 inches Long maybe a little more or a little less in some areas and around where it has been cut (but even at the cuts the fur is very thick).The fur with the greyish streaks through out is dyed from what apprears that each separate long curl ends were pulled out and then a dark dye applied to some but not all of the curls. So that some look darker even black, and some to light gey, and even some brownish shades too.I'm no leather / dye technician but I'd think this had to be done by hand if I had to guess. The result made it look like afur skin with an off white base with hints dark grey, black and brown in a natural distribution through most but not all of the coat on the back and shoulders of the animal.It's very well done, and looks great, like a shaggy grey wolf skin.I know that Sheepskin is naturally much thinner than cattle skin so expect it to be so.Also I was very happy to find there was No Rubberized Coating on the Back, which some manufacturing companies do because it is intended to be a non slip rug.This could be used from many things from a rug to crafts and it's fully authentic except for the custom dye.I would definitely by more if I need them

I bought these to throw over chairs at our lake house. Boy...I have had so many compliments!! Color and thickness are great. Better than the photo. Highly recommend.

So beautiful and soft! Gives the perfect cozy touch for my bedroom bench. Very elegant looking, and drapes beautifully. The coloring is gorgeous. I’m highly impressed.

Aside from the fact that I somehow expected it to be a little larger, I have absolutely no complaints. It shipped very fast, came neatly packaged, and came as described from order. It could have turned out any which way as no item like this is the same so you never know what you're stuck with, but the one I got matches what I thought it would be. Good quality, and after sitting on it just a few min. my feet and stuff were warm...maybe next time I'll try sitting without socks haha. Thank you for this nice item, would recommend. : )
