JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Season 1 [DVD] [2015]

I'm a Huge JJBA fan And I love both parts 1&2 in this show and I know the DVD it self isn't good. but for having the anime come to the u.k and having it on my shelf is more important to me (in my opinion) but I understand if some people don't buy it.I love both sub and dub and also if your not shore about the dub the dub is very good (also in my opinion) but the sub is also very good.And buying this also helps with the support of the English releases of jojo. Can't wait for part 3 and IT WAS ME DIO!!

Well I'm not sure what the other reviewers have been watching but I can't knock the picture quality at all, The English voice acting is brilliant, the Japanese audio is there even though not mentioned on the packaging. The only small gripe I have is with the English subtitles but others anime DVDs i've watched have used the translated subtitles as apposed to the original Japanese translation. Overall 10 out of 10 an absolute bargain @ £14 Please keep em coming Warner bros !!!

i had this on pre-order the second i heard about it, i was so excited to get a dub of one of my favourite shows released over here and honestly it isnt a bad dub, and trust me when i say i know bad dubs, all the voice actors do a pretty good job as their characters especially patrick seitz as dio, who completely nails the voice, the visual quality is actually pretty standard for a dvd, the other reviews just make it sound worse because its not a bluray with 1080p, i say be thankful we got the first season though judging by the negative backlash this release has seen we probably wont get any more, which really sucks , id rather have an average release than no release at all, and a true jojo fan would take what theyre given rather than whine like a little bitch about it not being a perfect version maybe the lack of future releases will teach these 1star review jerks a lesson to just accept that this is what we got and we should be thankful we even got this much, now is the best time to buy this at less than £8 its a steal, especially for the first 2 arcs i wholly recommend buying it, especially as a stocking filler now that christmas is coming up

One of the best dubs I've heard in a while. . Some of the accents are goofy and over-the-top, but that suits JJBA just fine, because that's what the whole anime is. Goofy and over-the-top. I can watch the japanese audio online, I'm just glad I now own the dub :-) Roll on Stardust Crusaders!

Very wierd but good

I'd like to start this review by sharing how much I love Jojo. This show is easily one of the greatest anime ever made, with amazing animation and a brilliant, over the top and ridiculous set up. It's simply phenomenal. That's what makes this release so very confusing.The first official home video English release of Jojo had a lot of expectations to live up to. It lived up to not a single one of them. Let's get this out of the way, the actual episodes are all fantastic and well I prefer the Japanese dub, the English dub is also by no means bad, meaning this entire review is based off of the quality and presentation of the product. Both of which are poor. The DVD case is the best presented thing in the package- which is saying something because it's brilliantly mediocre. The discs too aren't poorly presented. It's when you pop the disc in that the real fun begins.The menu is horrendous: a hazy green mesh with stock music playing over it and icons vaguely reminiscent of a menu bar. This has to be one of the most lazy attempts at a menu layout I have ever seen and it carries over to episode selection and settings. The video quality is low, even for a non HD DVD, and you're looking at a product only slightly north of 480P. But we now move onto the most glaring issue with this release: the subtitle tracks. The English Subtitle track, and assumedly the French and Italian, are matched up with the English Dub track and not the Japanse Dub track and no option at all for that. This is a huge issue, as good as the English dub is, lots of the humour and charm of the Japanese dub has been lost in translation, and a lack of choice for one is very, very odd.Overall, the product is bad. It's plain lazy and not the kind of release Jojo deserves. The only reason this review is scraping a 3 is because of the quality of the show and the fairly decent English Dub track. If this had been most other things it would have a one. I think WB needs to rethink they're releases; especially considering how stylish the show is and the quality already presented in the current line of Jojo manga relases.

in these set you get part 1 & part 2 off JoJo so its actually 2 seasons for a very cheap price ,

I watched in japanese with english subtitles, and I am totally happy with that. These are much cheaper and compact than those you get in Japan.

Excellent product, watched it over 4 times after receiving it, 10 out of 10

Habe die erste Staffel auf DVD zu einem sehr guten Preis ergatert. Zur Serie selbst sage ich nichts, es geht rein um den Zustand des Produkts und dieser war ohne Beanstandungen. So soll es sein.
