Absolutely fabulous!
Last year I wanted to replace three really outdated 1970s bedroom doors but found it impossible to remove at least half of the screws in the hinges attached to the doorframes - the screws were old, corroded and the heads were damaged. After hours of trying different methods, I gave up on the idea. After recently "googilng" how to remove problem screws I came across the Boa Grabit so thought it was worth a try but didn't hold up a lot of hope. I was absolutely amazed at how simple it was to use and how quickly and easily the problem screws were extracted - in less than an hour I had all hinges off the doorframes and the doors ready to go to the tip.

Does the job
These worked on 2/3 rusted wasted screws. (Took the last one out with a pair of mole grips after the head snapped off. ) Not sure how long they’ll last, after an hour of use on just three screws the thread seems to have lost its “edge” hence the emergency removal of the last screw.Note to self - buy better quality screws in future!

Just doesn't work
I had high hopes for this and was seriously disappointed. I needed to free up a small, rounded torx screw which secures the rear disc brake on my car (the screw on each of the rear discs had seized). This screw remover made absolutely no impression. Non at all. For me - a complete waste of time and money.

Do not waste your money
I purchased this tool to remove the screws from my decking. the tools failed completely and in fact the head of one of them sheared off.The screws used in my deck were proper decking screws and were not rusted in.If you need to remove decking screws I recommend you drill the heads off carefully with a 10mm steel drill bit and then carefully prize off the boards with a wrecking bar.I wanted to rate this tool zero but you cant do that

screwed by remover
These are a mixed bag - better on soft metals like aluminium when the first time I used them I did get the screws out but I had no luck with steel screws the second time I used them - I ended up drilling out the complete head and after removing the hinge removing the stump with mole grips. Both instances were with cross headed screws - goodness knows how you would get on with a standard head. So worth a try but be prepared with a Plan B.

OMG!
There I was at the end of the road trying to recover a newly bought item that the screws had spun in.I tried spanner’s, pliers, wd40, all the YouTube recommended tricks and countless other products apparently designed to release screws and had given up. Then this turned up.. and I thought well, it’s here now, let me see...Within 30 seconds it had got the screw out no problem!Truly impressed! Such a great product. If your search has led you here for that same problem then look no further. Buy!

Need to try it on different screws
Tried this on screws attaching hand rail, didn’t work for me, the screws where made of a tough steel, these wouldn’t bite the head, ended up drilling them out

This failed on my first attempt I then became aware that I hadn't drilled the whole deep enough and tried again hey presto removed well rounded off screw straight out 5 stars.
