KMCChain Tool

Great at opening bike chain links but be aware this tool won't close links unlike others. I've got around this by using a chainsaw file to file a groove in the outside edges of the jaws and it works fine now to both open and close links. Not sure why KMC didn't do this in the first place so if I was buying again I'd probably get the Park Tool version which opens/closes for about three pounds more but I couldn't get one at the time I was buying. KMC chains are v good though.

Work very well with no messing about. They aren’t particularly low or high quality and would be better priced around the £5 mark for what you get.I’ve just read a few other reviews, it’s not too hard to remove a link on a clean chain without this tool, but a dirty chain isn’t the nicest thing and can be a bit frustrating. You shouldn’t need a tool to put them back together though.

does the job perfectly, solid and well build, works with KMC quicklinks in all speeds 9.10.11 that i have used so far. Not so useful for when putting the links back on the chain as they dont open outwards, great for removing a chain though.

The best tool to cut the chain. Easy and fast to use.
