Who Sold My Generation [VINYL]

Drawn to this from the title. More like 'Armenia City in the Sky' than 'I Can't Explain'. Definitely at the psych end of the spectrum, should appeal to fans of The Temples or Syd Arthur, and what I'd call a grower. Could get more stars after a few more plays.

Great retro guitar sound

First heard this band on 6 music with the single No Cops, that track along with 2/3 others stand out amongst the others and lift the album from a medium 3 star to a worth a listen 4 star.

More polished than previous outings, it feels like Night Beats have matured somewhat on this latest album. However, the energy is still there, it's just cleaner and more channeled than it was for the previous two. There are some gorgeous guitar sounds almost lurking in these songs, so understated are they, with the clear, confident vocals riding high on top of them. Sure I love the almost punky rawness of the earlier albums, , but I'll happily add this assured performance too my collection too.
