I spent quite a while looking for times table flashcards. I wanted some that were very clear and easy to read, had the question on one side and the answer on the other. Harder to find than you might expect!These cards are thick, sturdy and high quality. They've made it a lot easier to run through the times tables with my daughter, adding visual prompts and providing a lot of different options for games.We're UK based. I've seen some reviews saying that the cards are all in the wrong order. But, here's the beauty of flashcards with one question on each card - they can be moved around independently of one another! So, each times table has a rainbow of colour which helps to reaffirm what you should be multiplying by.

Finally! I have been struggling to teach my children the times tables for years and this is just perfect. My eight-year-old just has not got the hang of times tables until now. Practising with this has made a game of it and really fun so I do recommend these for children who struggle (or parents who do). You can do so many things with them like speed tests, pick a higher number, Times table battles, focus on one times table or just the easy ones to build confidence. They are a great idea and the colour coding makes it very simple to understand which card belongs to which times tables. A simple and effective learning tool. The box is nice and sturdy too

I was always reluctant to buy flash cards, eventually I came to buy these and realise how good these are. They are just the right thickness, and bright and colourful.We have used them as a challenge. Using all the cards we go through them - putting the correct answers in one pile and the incorrect in another, then round two go back through the incorrect answers once again placing the correct answers in the correct pile and the incorrect in the incorrect pile. We continue on until all cards have been answered correctly. This is timed and the challenge is to get the time as low as possible.Its been fun, and a fantastic way to learn - I now so see the benefit of using flash cards and wish I had used them sooner.

These flash cards are beautifully designed and presented. Each times table is a different colour. My daughter has really struggled to understand and remember times tables. This has caused us multiple tantrums! I realised that she needs the task to be presented as a visual game to encourage her engage her brain and make her realise that she can do this. I challenge her to “win” the cards from me. As she collects the cards in a pile, her confidence grows and she is determined to learn the patterns and leave me with an empty box. Mission accomplished!These are so perfect, that I plan to get the divide and subtract sets. This “old fashioned” teaching and learning tool is far more engaging and rewarding than an app due to the tactile nature of the cards.Highly recommended!

My son in Yr 2 has struggled to learn his times tables. We tried the digital tools used in schools and some, as well as worksheets and non have worked as well as this flash cards.I bought these cards just over a month ago and we started with the obvious 2, 5, 10 then worked our way back to 3, 4 and now on our 6 times table.We go over a times table set - for example 3, reading the multiplication fact and then the answer a few times, then we play games with the cards ordered from the smallest to the largest multiplication fact, the multiplication side facing him, and he tells me the answer. Next, I mix the cards up so they are in a random order, and finally, a mixture of the multiplication side and the answer side again in a random order. When he sees the answer, he tells me the multiplication fact and vice versa. Lastly, we work on speed and answering as quickly as possible, aiming to be within a second before we move on to the next set.The cards are colourful, sturdy and easy to wipe clean with a damp paper towel when grubby hands have been handling them. The cards are compact, perfect for small hands as well as adults. The box it comes in is quite strong, keeps them secure and is easy to carry around.I disagree with the comments about them begin in the wrong way. i.e 3x1, 3x2 instead of 1x3, 2x3 etc. This hasn’t bothered us, if fact, I think it has helped him concentrate and focus on the set that he is learning at the time as that number always comes first. He has had no trouble when the numbers are swapped around and can still answer quickly.I must confess, I have also been re-learning my times time along with him and he has enjoyed testing me. It is a lot of fun and his 5 years old sister has started joining in and learning along with us.

Have you got a child to teach the times tables? GET THIS SET NOW. Here is my story: A Year 2 girl (my daughter) has been told by the teacher that she falls hugely behind in the class. I bought the cards and went on 15 min a day course. I discarded all the obvious cards (times tables 1, 2 , 10 and 12) and the ones above the requirement (7,8 and 9) then I run down the pile. Remember that 9x6 belongs in fact to times tables 6. What was answered satisfactory went on the right hand side, the failed ones or answered with too much of delay to the left hand side. From now on I used only the failed/delayed ones doing the same left/right selection but the failed ones I showed both sides repeatedly at a fairly slow pace (6-7 times) asking to read them out loud. I did this until all cards have been answered satisfactory. After that I changed the rules: Answer must come quick (5-6 seconds) and applied the same way of separating to left and right. After 3 weeks of training the girl became a Times Tables Champion in the class and was capable to answer each card instantly (within one second). Very important: Please don't do more than 15 mins at one go, set up the timer.The cards are of a very high quality and really well designed sporting easy to read type face of a perfect size to be read from a distance of 1-2 meters.
