Highlights
For the last few years we've been using standard 50w halogen bulbs in both the kitchen and bathroom. They had a pretty poor efficiency rating but were cheap compared to the more energy efficient bulbs like these. It is always a frustrating paradox that the more efficient the bulb the more you have to pay. So any savings on your electric bill are counted by the initial outlay of buying energy efficient bulbs.Anyway, a couple of months ago we had Smart Meters installed, along with a calculator-sized monitor, which lets you see how much electric and gas you're using over a period of time.It didn't take long to realise how expensive the standard halogens were. So I bought a packet of Lamparous 5W bulbs and did some comparisons.First thing I noticed was how hot the standard lights were when trying to remove them from their housing (even with the use of a towel they were extremely hot to the touch!) But when I fitted these new lights and let them run for 5-10 minutes they remained very cool to the touch. So that was quite encouraging, as was the readings from the Smart Meter monitor: down to something like a penny or two per hour for four lights!Visually the lights were bright but not as warm as the standard halogens, with tinges of yellow that initially became distracting, but not uncomfortably so. And 2 month in, I don't even notice the rather sterile "glow" compared to the rather warmer/richer light from the standards. But perhaps this minor complaint is just down to me and my eyesight as my wife doesn't share the same issue. So two months of use, both in the bathroom and kitchen, and no failures to report yet. Impressed, I bought a second packet just a few days ago, to be used as spares. These bulbs are an expensive option, and are only really affective if they last a very long time. Which is something I can't really judge after only 2 months. But they do a very good job, and if you do have a smart meter you'll be able to see for yourself the difference in energy used.Recommended.5/5

Prepare to be astounded!
For years now I've been fitting LED lights to my cars so I knew what to expect in difference of light output but I was still astounded when installing these! The way these cast a light across our hall and kitchen is amazing. Much easier on the eye that the standard bulbs they've replaced whilst offering significantly more illumination. We get through a lot of bulbs in this household and have fallen victim of the poor build quality of cheap bulbs in the past. I was wary of buying these at this price point, especially as LED's from other manufacturers can be very expensive, but there was no need to worry. These are very well made and very well packaged.I highly recommend these to anyone wanting to see more whilst paying less.Note, these give a brighter, whiter light than a traditional bulb that you do have to adjust too and they look visually different to standard bulbs so you will want to change all the bulbs in a room at once.

Cheap and wide angle light - ideal for replacing general lighting from filament GU10s.
Cheap and produce loads of light. Note that the LEDs that produce the light are at the front of these bulbs so the light is spread far more than in a traditional GU10 arrangement where the light is at the back. This is good for general illumination but not if you want a spotlight effect, for me this is perfect as they are for general room illumination. Noticeably brighter and far more efficient than a standard filament GU10.Update - 7 years on and all 20 bulbs are still running so I give this a 5+ rating.Comment on colour, I have these in all my rooms and the colour is fine - totally neutral and I do not notice a difference from a normal filament bulb although it is less blue than the halogen GU10 bulbs that I replaced with these.

Quality lights, just not as bright or warm at the Halogens they replace
First of all - there was nothing wrong, physically with the lights. They work and came well packaged, enough that I would have normally given them 5 Stars. So why knock off 1 Star? Well, if you are buying these lights to save energy then you will be happy. But If you are buying these lights to save energy and also retain the brightness and warmth of Halogen as I was, then these might not be the lights for you.Nothing wrong with the product just misleading, for me, in its description and so I felt disappointed. Although the description does state these lights have a "luminosity intensity" of 450lm which I assume is 450 lumens, the description also states that it is Super Bright, and infers it to be the same as a 50w Halogen light - which is very bright. But for the 10 halogen bulbs I replaced with these LEDs, the light appears not as bright, and its more white than yellow (i.e. cooler than halogens). Would be good in a kitchen, just not in a lounge or bedroom. So, if you are ok with 30w halogen equivalent and but not as warm colour - then these bulbs are actually a good deal and worth 5 stars.

Buy them now!
I tried these Lampaous pack of LED's to attempt to reduce electricity usage in my home and overall save on both electricity bill and purchasing bulbs which have blown. So I've had these fitted for a couple of months, all bulbs work and were simple to install. I've also had a smart meter fitted from British Gas and I can see the difference in cost and usage in comparison to normal halogen bulbs and LED. I'm now in the process of replacing all bulbs within the house to LED. The actual cost saving is phenominal and the light that is given off is 4 times as bright. I can't believe I did not do this when first purchasing my first property.I can confirm I have recommended these to friends and family and now you the consumer!

Reliable. Long lasting
We bought a box in 2017. Used most that year to replace existing blue white ones which were too harsh. Have just used the last one. These are really good. Really long lasting. Very happy and have reordered same brand.

Perfect
Good bright light (I got white not warm white) and use only about 10% of the halogen lamps that I replaced
