Finally Low Carb Noodles I Enjoy!
I tried shirataki noodles a few years ago from another brand and was so put off by the "fish" taste that I swore i'd never try them again. Then recently I decided to give them another go, I'm a sucker for late night carbs and noodles are an achilles heal. Firstly, these don't smell of much really a mild odour but goes after a quick rinse in a colander. Second, ignore the cooking instructions on the pack! After a lot of trial and error i've found that letting them soak in just boiled kettle water or beef stock prior to frying, seriously improves the "gel" texture and any underlying flavour you can get with products like this. I've used them to make shrimp stir-frys, a turkey bacon carbonara and much more. Seriously good and a whole pasta sized bowl runs in at sub 200cals. (compare that to nearly 400 in a pot noodle!)You can tell they aren't pasta or egg noodles, of course you can. The texture is chewier and they are nearly impossible to bite through, but properly swirled around a fork you won't notice. They are however a really useful ingredient if you're willing to try. They have no flavour and absorb sauces, spices etc really well. These are now all I have in terms of pasta and noodles. If you're like me and love noodles too much to give them up these are a truly viable alternative.

Good prebiotic with zero carbs
This is the third lot of these noodles I have bought as i absolutely love them. These are much better quality than other brands I have tried as they don't disintegrate. The first time I tried them I ate a whole packet added to a stir fry and got very painful stomach cramps through the night. After this I read up on these and realised you need to increase your intake slowly to avoid discomfort. I now eat a full packet (after boiling in water for 5 minutes) added to a stir fry and have no stomach pain. I find they hold flavours well and are extremely filling. In addition the konjac plant is one of the few plants which act as a prebiotic (feeding your good gut bacteria) as well as being high in fibre. All very good plus no carbs!

Good service and prompt delivery
These were delivered quickly and well packaged. I've had them before from the shop. The online price wasn't bad. The noodles are fine for special diets and not a bad substitute for "real" noodles or pasta if you can't eat those, and really quick and easy to cook. They smell terrible unless you rinse them really well with cold water before cooking. I have no idea why the liquid they come in smells fishy, but it goes after you rinse them.

All round pretty good stuff!
These things are pretty good in mu opinion. They are filling and not terrible value for money - the amount in each packet is listed as two servings and when used to cook a meal with that's about right. I popped out a packet into a measuring jug to show the volume of one packet (250g).Anyone who thinks these smell of fish is eating some VERY strange fish. They don't smell at all if you rinse them a couple of times but there is a slight smell of the flour when you first open them. It's really not an issue. They don't have any flavour but then noodles in general don't have that much flavour. They are ideal for making ramen with as a result. The texture is not the same as egg noodles - a bit firmer and with more bite. Personally I like it but I suppose if you are looking to have egg noodles exactly replicated but without calories this is going to be an issue. They are double packaged so a plastic bag inside another plastic bag - no idea why. This could certainly be improved. All in all well worth a try if you've not had them before.

A saviour for low calorie intake
If prepared for properly these are an absolute gold gem for preparing low calorie food. I have them especially at weekends as I have some wine then that ups my calories. But as seen in my calorie breakdown they are fantastic. They can be ate as is or with a mix of flavours and veggies. Obviously as I added many different ingredients for flavour it upped the total calories to nearly 300. But this ca be lowered drastically and still be delicious. On its own they are 30 calories. To prepare I rinse them thoroughly, boil for 10 minutes, rinse again. Stirfry with preferable veg and protein. 100% worth it.

So much PLASTIC
These were my 'alternative' item on Sub and Save as my usual brand 'Yutaka' wasn't available. Things to note about BNN ....they are expensive - only 6 to a pack; flavour is more 'floury' due to the added oat flour but most impotantly in terms of environmental impact, they come in DOUBLE plastic pouches - why???Within the first pouch (which is sufficient for every other brand) I was horrified to find another sealed plastic pouch containing the noodles. Neither is recyclable. The packaging proudly sports the accolade 'as seen on Dragons Den' suggesting that they may be 'home produced' - another attraction. Don't be fooled - they still come from China as do most Shirataki Noodles made from konjac. Yutaka, however, come from Japan which is another plus for that brandI have now removed BareNaked from my list simply for the plastic issue

AMAZING ! Just like real noodles
I've been on Keto for 3 months. These are amazing. Wish i had heard about them sooner. I added butter, salt pepper n half a chicken oxo and these tasted just like a high-quality fresh noodle. I am re-ordering more right now. The only issue is the high price. 1 bag is 1 portion for a male. Containing 2.8 carbs, 40 calories, zero fat, 1 protein. Perfect stats for Keto. I'll be having these twice a week from now on. If they were cheaper i'd eat them daily.

The most versatile low carb pasta I have bought
First thing first, think of it as those cheap Chinese noodles that you buy with prawn, beef, duck flavour but without the flavouring sachet. These are noodles not pasta, they ressemble vermicelli. To say that they taste disgusting is wrong as they virtually have no flavour. However, if you are happy to experiment with sauces, herbs, garlic, chili pepper and various vegetables you are going to have a good time. I follow a moderate Keto diet to prevent the onset of Diabetes type 2 and this is a just a nice food staple to have in the cupboard.

Excellent communication throughout the order process. Product is perfect.
Hob - From Ambient. Open corner of packet. Drain water. Throw into a frying pan and cook for 3 minutes. Add your chosen sauce or vegetables and meat - enjoy!
