Babz 16oz Can Crusher - Crush cans up to 500ml

I've not yet attached this to a surface, so can't comment on how well the provided screws keep it fixed, but otherwise I don't regret this purchase at all.I wasn't sure whether this would be large enough to crush my occasional can of cider as well as all the Pepsi Max I get through, but it fits in 500ml cans with no trouble too.You will probably need to slightly dent a can before you can crush it with arm strength alone, but that's not at all laborious. It's surprising how strong 330ml cans can be, at least it has been for me.The handle is a gel material that's comfortable to grip and after crushing at least 20 cans I've not noticed anything that concerns me about the materials used, the construction, or how strong the joints in the arms are.The cans are reduced to a length of about 3cm/ just over 1".My only critique, which for me doesn't reduce my view from 5 to 4*, is that sometimes cans slip out. This happens much more often and easily with larger cans than 330ml ones, I imagine because there is more material to crush. I have had to almost cover the front of the crusher with a hand to avoid cans flying out under the pressure. I imagine though that this is probably something most crushers like this will have a problem with. The only resolution I can think of is some sort of cover, but I think that would get in the way too much and prefer it without it.So if you get through a lot of cans, particularly cans of soft drink, then this can certainly both save you some space in the bin and you might also get a bit of satisfaction crushing something.Happy to answer any Qs, enjoy your crushing.Update: this afternoon I did attach this to a flat surface using the attached screws, and it functions perfectly well.

Said for ages to get one, The amount of cans of juice we go through, The bin is always full days before its due to get emptied. They jus take up so much room. Can see a difference in the bin already.

Great gadget that really does compact our recycling space. Couple of things to note is to not be too heavy handed with it. If my engineering father had built this it would be accurate to a couple of thousandths of an inch and be still functional in the year 2100.Pull it straight and I often put a small dent in the can to weaken the can. The crushing requires far less force to compress that way.As you can see in the image, it has bent slightly from a good few hundred can crushes, rubbing metal to metal, but for the price it is worth it. Just don't be too heavy handed with it.

I purchased this as my family drink a lot of canned drinks and we were finding that the green recycling bin was getting very full each and every week so thought this can crusher would help a little.The item arrived quickly using Amazon, packaging was all intact and no damage.The item cam with some screws to fix to the wall but no raw plugs so this is a minor niggle but not a real problem, soon I had it fixed to the wall and everyone in the house has started to use it.If you make a little dent in the side of the can then it crushes down easier, also make sure the can is fully empty or you will have drips down your wall.Its robust and does not flex when operating which is good, the design gives great leverage so even the smallest person in our house can use it.

S,S,O Screw Shaped Objects are no good, cheap and nasty 🤦‍♂️use your own.The actual can crusher is ok, bit flimsy but it works ok

I was almost put off purchasing this, because of negative reviews, but some of the problems others encountered have not been an issue for me. Its very sturdy, slightly crease the can before crushing and it works very well. Glad I went ahead and purchased it, my recycling is collected once a month, so saves a lot of space in my recycling bin.
