Overall am pleased with this, was a decent price at the time and handy to have a spare. Was particularly taken by the first description on it: 'Meets/exceeds Apple's standards', however not sure this is entirely true, as have found it to have a couple of minor annoyances:1. They've put the logo on both top and bottom sides of the connectors, meaning its unclear which way you're attempting to insert it until it doesn't fit. I could see some people trying to force it harder and break it before thinking to turn it over - but if they had the logo on just one side would be so much easier. This obviously wouldn't matter for the newer 'lightning' versions that fit either way, but does on these older 30-pin types.2. On first entry (after figuring out which side was top) it didn't feel like it fitted exactly, almost like there was a soft seal around it that needed breaking first, or a side pin needed pushing in. Only on first entry, but am aware the real Apple cables don't do this.3. Once it is in and connected up, the bottom side looks like its not in properly and shows more of the metal connector than the plastic casing - see front and back pictures showing an example of this. Whilst the originals do this too, if you really do want to 'exceed the standards', would perhaps be an idea to angle the plastic cover to fill this gap.I've not had them long enough to be sure about the durability, but looks fine after daily use for one month.But as said, overall happy and would by again, as these points are small enough to deal with

So let’s go back to March, and the start of lockdown. I’d been sent home from work and put on furlough, and decided to use all my newly found free-time as productively as possible. My wife was holding down her own job, working from home, while also taking a leading role in home-schooling our kids; and so my time was equally split between kick-starting an exercise habit and performing a supporting role in home schooling - mainly taking on the big science tasks - albeit poorly and without reading the full instructions properly, so my wife would invariably have to step in and make sure I knew I was at best ‘value-neutral’, but most likely a hindrance. I was averaging 4 miles a day with my exercise, whether running, walking or cycling, and eventually lost a stone in weight! I also undertook the weekly food shop alone, heading out to Aldi with my pair of latex gloves and bottle of hand sanitizer. I started over-filling the trolley, partly because I was buying for other family members too, but also because we now had [home]school lunches to cater for and so needed additional supplies. Eventually the routine settled down, as did the fill-level of my weekly shopping trolley. One such weekly outing recently, I went to plug my iPod classic into my car and noticed the wire was damaged so I ordered these and they arrived. They’re probably fine, but I haven’t used them yet, though they look the part!

It is the same as the one from Apple. It is an item which is average in quality, but doesn't last too long.

I bought a second set of these because my youngest child managed to destroy the first one (and I forgot that they came in a pack of two!) So yes, the first was got pulled apart but if you treat them properly - and don't yank them out by the cable - they work just great. A decent replacement for the price. One problem though - the first set had "jettech" printed on both sides of the ipad connector, so it was impossible to tell which way round they go on first glance. The second set had nothing printed on it, so it was still impossible! So in the end I wrote on the 'top' side in permanent marker.

Not expensive and does the job.
