This is the second washer dryer I have owned (previous model was Hoover 5+ years ago.) I’ve replaced (somewhat begrudgingly) an AEG washing machine and separate tumble dryer in a bid to create more space in my kitchen/diner. I was nervous about another washer dryer for two reasons: the previous model I had BAKED the laundry during the drying cycle and the fact you can’t simply open the door during drying. After much research, I decided that opting for the best brand on the market would be the best bet. I haven’t been disappointed. The overall feel and build quality is what you’d expect; this machine is solid and VERY heavy! The transit bolts were a little fiddly to remove but we got there in the end. So far I have tested washing only and continuous cycles with great results. As long as you don’t over-fill the drum (giving the laundry plenty of room to agitate around the drum) ensures great results. The only negative is the functionality (or lack thereof) of “Mobile Start” via the Miele app (iOS.) I’ve connected the device to my home network and I’m able to see what what program is currently running however I cannot use the pause function and not can I customise my programs. This is a relatively minor snag however it does mean I can’t tell the machine what CapDos capsules I’m using (this lets the machine now when to introduce to the wash load during the cycle.) I’m hoping this is a temporary glitch (I’ve emailed Miele and hope a quick app update will help.) The 2 year warranty is a little disappointing for such an expensive machine, considering it’s been designed and built for 20 years use. If you need a washer dryer then this is one I would definitely recommended.UPDATED 15/07/21 I received a call from Chris at Miele yesterday REF remote control activation issues, he was brilliant. Chris talked me through the process, explained some of the ambiguity in the manual (due to the direct translation from German to English) and gave me his number to call back personally if I had any further problems. Exceptional service. Needless to say, the remote control function is now enabled and I am able to use the Miele app (for me, this is so I can use the CapDos system.) This is what you pay for when you purchase such an expensive piece of kitchen equipment; rating changed from 4* to 5*. Bravo Chris!

You need have one , just right! If you want to know what the Miele Wash machine the best in the world, I know why I love it , much better Bosch ! Before I used Siemens and Bosch washing machines , the difference is too big, this one is better than before , it is expensive, but it is very good ! you can try to buy it and Use it, like it ! Let you happy every day!

Amazing quality machine, love everything about it. It’s super energy efficient, love the twin dose system, much nicer than using washing powder.

Having purchased the TwinDos WiFi enabled version, we embarked upon setting the machine up. Please read the installation instructions fully before starting!!! It is quite long winded, but cannot be ignored. Anyway, once set up, you should be able to configure and start the machine remotely - but only if everything is initialised correctly. Ours refused to comply, so several calls to a clueless customer services team later, I was close to returning the machine. It transpires that you need to remove and reinsert both Twindos cartridges with the machine powered up - after you have successfully paired the app. So, the machine is Ok, but the quality of customer care is appalling, given the cost of these machines... We are still awaiting some form of communication from Miele several days later!

I always buy Miele products where possible because they are good quality and long lasting my last washing machine at 15 years old is still going and is at another house.I love the new machine and I really like the fact you can download and use from the App, if i am away from the machine it sends a message to say it has finished.Easy to use manually also, I have used almost all the settings. Clothes seem to come out cleaner than others it is a big drum which I prefer loving this new machine and hope it lasts as long as my other very impressed so far. If you can afford to spend that little bit more in my opinion it is well worth it as they are made to last unlike cheaper appliances. I like Miele products so I am a big fan.

For most of my life I've bought washing machines that were much cheaper because I thought nobody with any sense could possibly buy a washing machine costing more than £800. But this Miele washing machine performs far better than my Bosch machines ever did, and has more options, and (perhaps not really necessary) can communicate with my wireless network and tell my phone or iPhone that the wash has finished. And it came with a 10 year guarantee but you have to register for it, not just rely on your purchase invoice.I think the machine has been designed, in its default settings, to use as little water as possible. Sometimes when the programme has finished there might still be signs of soap suds on the clothes. In the "Settings" menu you can cure this by opting for "Maximum Rinse Level" which they say is important for allergy sufferers. Once set, you don't have to do it again and it applies to all the washes and gives excellent rinsing results. There are several other useful configurable options. "Which" gives all Miele washing machines enthusiastic reviews - the mystery for me is why there are quite so many different models and what possible advantage one has over another. I ended up buying this one because it was the only one of the reviewed models that I could find on Amazon, with the reliable delivery service I like from Amazon.
