Overall great headlamp
I have several of these for work. They’re used almost daily, I find the battery life to be a little inconsistent but it does have good battery life on high. Comfortable to wear for long periods of time. Very bright, not sure if the 800 lumens is that much better than the old 750 but I’ll take the upgrade.

Ran in the 750 4 years. Updating
I went through and read some of the reviews on the 800. Now I haven't received mine yet, but based on some of the reviews from current model the highs and lows of the product are very broad in the opinions. In my experience from the previous model the headlamp excelled in all categories. It was great in brightness, longevity, comfort level in wearing, and bonus for me as a ultra runner the run forever plug is a bonus in itself. Another case scenario when running on the country roads early am with the touch of the button of the battery pack for increased brightness for 30 seconds has created an awareness to drivers who where just about to come close to hitting me due to not knowing of my physical presence. THe previous version has not failed when it is raining. I do use my light for other functions besides running and it has worked great. I am looking forward to my new pro 800. If there is any discrepancies with the new model I will most definitely update with any new news.

Head lite structure fail on both of my bio 800 not the lighting.
The Biolite sell is a decent seller. The lite makes ample lite and the battery lasts a long time and I love the fact that an extended battery pack can be plugged in to make it last even longerthis is my second lite, both are inferior product as far as the clip that hold the head band (see pictures on 2nd and 1st lamp withe broken head band clips. Also broken swivel pin on the lite itself on the first on in got earlier. I wish the structure was more durable. Hopefully it can be replaced with something more durable?ThanksReuben

Works Well
Works just as described. I've run half marathon trail race. Worked great. But I did need to Google how to use the buttons. Watched a video.

Weak Band Retention
I really wanted to like this light, I love having it on flood with the torch toggle being a click away. The battery life and lumen level make it ideal for a work light and it's very comfortable to wear. It's a well though out design except for the part where the battery attaches to the headband. It makes it unusable for anything other than evening walks. After my first trip under the crawlspace of my house I noticed the light wouldn't stay tight. I'm not sure when exactly it happened, perhaps it happened when I laid the back of my head on the ground while working on some drain pipe, or maybe I snagged the battery on a joist while crawling. I hate to say it, but it almost seems like planned obsolescence, how could this make it past the prototype stage otherwise? Look how thin this plastic gets. I guess we'll know if future models don't address this issue.

Durability isn't up to par
I love head lamps! I've had several cheap ones and my regular is a trusty black diamond. I moved recently and can't find any of them. I was so excited to order this biolite. I've heard great things. Love the brightness and rechargeable option is great. I'm not sure when, why & how but the clip for the rear pack is broken. One of the plastic bits is missing. This is a huge problem that causes fitment issues and is a huge PIA. I'm constantly adjusting it and fixing it. Super disappointed because its an expensive item. I haven't worn it outside of the house. It's never been dropped, beat up or abused. I honestly think that it came this way and I didn't notice for a bit. Not sure what to do with it now... Going to end up electrical taping a $100 item. Want to throw it at a brick wall and put it in the trash. Ugh! I took a risk investing the money in this and got burned. Beware!
