Manchester VacsCompatible with Dyson V7, V8, V10, and V11 Tool Adaptor Set. Use older tools with your Dyson cordless vacuum cleaner

This product is so good it should have been supplied with the Dyson V8.For those who unaware, the tools for other vacuum cleaners in the Dyson range do not fit this model.(V8) It is not widely advertised and I was unaware of this when I purchased the Animal V8. Having lots of attachments for other Dyson cleaners I was a little disappointed. I simply love the V8. Even the selection of attachments from the Dyson site are so far limited. I have never seen this adapter advertised there but it looks like a Dyson product in terms of quality.It is a perfect fit in every respect and all the attachment tools I already have fit this product and operate perfectly.I have yet to figure out why Dyson opted to change the head attachment for this particular model and not the V6. Hence the reason I have said it should be supplied with the V8.Amazon should advertise this beside the V8 because as far as I can see the tools advertised as an additional purchase are similar to the ones I have and they do not not fit the V8 without this adapter.The adapter operates like a reducer so the other tools fit.There is nothing negative I can say about the product which was delivered ahead of schedule however it did take about a week to arrive but it was well worth waiting for.I recommend this to everyone who has or is about to purchase a Dyson V8.

Invaluable little adaptor. Great quality and fits perfectly. One of the best things I've ever bought. It allows me to use all my old Dyson tools with my new Dyson and has saved a heap of money in not having to buy all the tools again. I am the queen of clean now.

Almost perfect but not quite. It fits most of my old Dyson tools but not the motorised mini brush 62748 because that has two ridges that make it too tight a fit. Ideally the good people at Manchester Vacs would modify the design of their adapter and put grooves inside to accommodate the ridges. My workaround was to use a file and remove the ridges from the mounting of the mini brush and now it fits the adapter very nicely. Actually, although it fits, the brush doesn't rotate so I think there will be some old Dyson tools that don't work properly on the V7 and V8 and that isn't the fault of this adapter. The adapter doesn't enable you to use tools that are motorised, ie require power from the battery. We need a version of the adapter that addresses this.

Pretty much like everyone else on here knows how bad Dyson actually are. I have a V11 hoover( the really expensive one that blows the dust away rather than sucking up but does it in 3 modes)It wouldn't suck anything up as if it was a picky child trying new food for the first time....so I bought the Dyson flat floor soft brisle head, the one made of unicorn tears and gold plated micro anti static transfluxing head which the fibres have been picked from angolian goat fur blended with the finest nano carbons... at £70. So now I'm down nearly £700 and it still won't suck up dust from laminate with its trilingual multi dispersement v967 fusion power motor with hydrocarbon embedded polysentials .. Ended up buying this and now I can use "normal" Henry heads on the Dyson and it works perfectly.Although... The fitment is not quite tight enough I put some insulation tape and it's rocking, a tenner - it's what Dyson should have tried for. - simple.I have nearly spent £700 on a hoover to make it a £96 Henry (with tools included).Now when I see Dyson are selling hairdryers... I would rather set my hair on fire... It's cheaper.

I used the normal vacuum cleaner with various vacuum bags before, but this time I only have Dyson and since Dyson doesn't provide extension for vacuum bag, I had to resort to 3rd party. This one fits well with the V10 connector, however the suction head is not always fitting with supermarket vacuum bags. I had to align it in certain way so that the suction worked best, but not achieving 100% air out like normal vacuum cleaner.

Absolutely fantastic, all tools fit from the DC35, DC44, V6 I still own and now I can use them with my new V10.This was my second purchase choice however I had to return my first purchase (awaiting refund) as the item supplied didn't fit the tools (hole in adapter too small & tight, also didn't lock into the V10 properly.Buy this adapter and you'll not be disappointed as I was. Cannot rate this high enough for build quality and fit.

Having had a number of Dyson cordless vacs before, I had a lot of tools, none of which fit my new Dyson V11. I find it helpful to have a few extra of these tools, and some of them are very useful but not made for the latest V11 mode. Now they fit perfectly, and conveniently. Well done, Manchester Vacs.
