Thing-A-Ma-Jig - Wire Wrapping Tool, size 11,5x14 cm, 1 set

Great quality metal plate and various sized plugs to enable you to make wire shapes. Excellent way to make more than one of the same shape. The plugs fit easily into the holes, and there are some plastic/rubber rings included if you want to be able to keep them in place for an extended period or over one or more wire work sessions. The rings fit onto the bottom of the plugs, under the jig plate. For one off work, I've found you don't need to use these as the plugs sit so well in the plate. But if I wanted to put the plate away with the plugs still in place, I'd secure them underneath with the rings.I can see this lasting a long time - it's very good quality.

Basic idea is great, nicely made, but sadly the little silicone tubes that fit to the base of the posts, below the frame, to hold them in place are not strong enough to hold the post in place when you wrap the wire round. Hopefully I will find some way of fixing them more securely so I can wrap the wire and form design as intended.I have been testing out with silver plate wire so, to be fair it might work a little better with very soft silver wire.

Arrived in excellent time. Very useful and sturdy. Includes useful rubber tubes which stop the pegs from falling out. Would be perfect if the packaging was resealable so it could store everything. Must see if I can get extra of the larger pegs as only 2 each of these included. Happy with it otherwise

this is a fantastic product, but what i do not approve of is the price? nearly thirty pounds for something that is maybe two pounds to produce is imo, exploiting people...as i say, it does the job..but the quality for the price, is just another marketing gimmick..if this was half the price it is, then ok..bits of plastic as backing does not justify the cost, and the spare pieces are very minimal also for the price..just felt folk have a rite to know this

A sturdy product, with useful different size pegs, however the pegs are loose in the holes making winding the wire tricky. No instructions on how to secure them, but small, clear plastic tubes are provided in the pack. I assume these fit underneath the metal pegs. These are very difficult to put on. I will persevere.

The stops on the back of the pegs were too loose and fell off, but I have been offered a partial refund so once I have sourced stops I expect to be satisfied with the product. Other than the stops, it looks good, but is a bit hard to use without them. My daughter has one and her stops were fine so this is not a problem for everyone.

Having spent just under £20 on this item (including p&p), I am very disappointed with the poor quality of the product. I knew that there was a gap in the market for a good wire jig, but did not expect to receive bent and ill fitting pins that wobble so much in the holes. The package warned of the lead content, which I knew nothing about, and the irregular holes have sharp edges. I haven't tried it out yet, but in honesty, my wire work is more accurate than that illustrated on the packaging, which looks dreadful and was presumably carried out on the jig!

Arrived in December so well before the 5th January date. Item is as described and is sturdy. As a novice it will take me time to perfect using it.
