Really fun build, dropped every component on the floor!
Enjoyed the build, messed up first paint job so had to buy another shell. Personally I love the non standard paint job more than the default red. Currently off the road as I managed to jump it into a wall level kineval style and popped a front drive shaft out :)

This is a re-issued version of the 1985 model Hotshot!
This kit comes with 540 motor, polycarbonate body and wing and new esc TBLE-02, this is a basic info buyer should know when buy online but it doesn't mention. I bought this from Amazon.ca not from other seller on Amazon, The price is not the best deal, it's a bit more but ok, because no-one has this in stock. Why I put this because It might not the same version, this is American Tamiya. They put the review everywhere even with some other langue than English.I'm very happy with this purchase, somewhat 30 years ago, I couldn't afford and dare to get it. This thing brings me back to the old days but much much better than back then with digital ESC, radio transmitter etc.Now I'm going to get a good radio, servo and some paints. I'll paint it light blue not red.I hope this help but I'm not working for Amazon. I was right they put this review to other seller on Amazon! Here is some update: I got a Futaba T3PV transmitter can be program up to 10 modes, so I can used this for other RC as well. This kit is very hard to build, but it's fun. I put a coat of pearl clear paint first then light blue after it looks very cool but on picture I don't think you can see it.Here are the pictures....I'm Tamiya fan and collector. Next Super Hotshot, Bigwig, Boomerang...

Childhood memories
Love it. Had one some 20 years ago. It's still fun to build when most RC cars are RTR these days. Brings back a lot of good memories. And as always Tamiya puts out a great kit with easy to follow instructions.
