The Walking Dead: Here's Negan

A very, very short comic.A nice hardcover, with nice thick glossy pages.Did the backstory of Negan need to be told?Take the Joker from Batman, I love his mystery, the fact he has no definitive history. It adds to his mystique.Most of these people probably lost their souls a long, long time ago and it never really bothered me too much about Negan’s past.Having read it, I enjoyed it. It answered questions I wasn’t too fussed about knowing. Although it was a nice read.Was this story a cash cow because of the television series?Or was their an overwhelming demand to know Negan more?It did show Negan’s softer side.It’s your call on how much of a super fan you are?I can take Negan’s story or I can leave it.He’s a complex bad guy with some depth, for me, this comic didn’t add much more weight.But it’s an expensive short story, so that’s a stinker in itself.Final thoughts? This story could have been jammed in the original series of comics and it’d taken up one issue.It’s tragically short, but it has some depth.I feel this is more milking on Negan’s fame (I’m no fan of the Tv series passed Series 1+2 after that it went down hill, but that’s a different story)If you’re a super fan and need the whole collection (Or a bit like me, a completist) then wait until it cheapens, if not, then you’re missing too much that you don’t know.It’s a nice add to Negan Lives #1.

The artwork is great but that’s about where the good points end. The storyline is so-so but the most annoying thing is the length - it’s so short! I was really surprised when it arrived to see that the hardcovers were thicker than the number of pages!

It's OK. Tells you his back story but very simplistic and not very long.Expensive for what you get but still quite glad that I now have it as a collectors' item.Buy it if you're real keen.

Great read for negan fans and walking dead fans.

I have all the waking dead books and in comparison this spin off is not a patch on them. If you buy this you will note than likely be disappointed.

As a long time TWD fan this comic was a perfect addition to this Negan-lovers collection. It was a good read and helps to understand Negan better. I wish it was a bit longer and went into more detail but it was good overall.
