Easy to fit and the lock makes them secure
These bars are perfect to fit to the car's *existing* roof bars. Easy to fit and the lock makes them secure. I leave them on as I do a lot of kayaking. The lock can be tricky so I sprayed mine with WD40. Check the roof rail width as the bars are not the full length stated (due to the plastic feet). It's about 5cms shorter. I would recommend this product.

One of the better budget roof bar sets.
Apart from a reasonable price there were three main reasons these bars were chosen. The silver finish and aerodynamic profile make them stand above the bulk of the plastic-coated square section bars at the cheap end of the roof-bar market. I know from experience that bars that clamp onto the inside edge of a vehicle's roof rails can be prone to slippage. Hence, for me , the best feature of these Hardcastle bars is the way their brackets hook firmly over the outside of the car roof rails .As a size guide ; when fitted to a 2018 Dacia Stepway the 120cm bars still had perhaps 5 centimetres of scope for adjustment left and hence very little overhang . In other words , a perfect fit. In conclusion ,taking their features and price into consideration, l think these Hardcastle roof bars are good.

Great product.
Light and strong, easy to attach and remove with a good firm hold on roof rail. Less noise than expected too, practically silent at less than 40mph.

Perfect for the 2019 Dacia Duster
Needed good sturdy bars for the roof bag that gets filled with tons of camping gear. These bars were very easy to fit on the Dacia, easy to adjust the gap and easy to lock. No movement at all and have been on the roof for months and still look great. Recommended wholeheartedly for price and use.

Idiot proof
I bought these for our 18 reg Peugeot 2008.Chose the 120s and they are perfect fit. Panicked at first as I didn't realise you have to insert key and unlock to move red covers, allowing access for Allen key. Tighten jaws, lock, job done. Sturdy, smart and a very fair price👍.
