Good value.
The quality isn't superb (but it's a quid so what do you expect). Bought it for a temporary replacement to my soundcard and works great. High quality materials and seems like it will last.

Fantastic little gadget! UPDATE: FELL APART AFTER TWO DAYS!!!
I bought this little gadget as the headphone socket in my laptop no longer worked. Just by googling I found out that instead of paying hefty repair bills this item would fix the problem -for less than £1! It works fine and I'm delighted to have saved a LOT of money.UPDATE: AFTER TWO DAYS OF USE IT FELL APART AS I PLUGGED IT INTO MY USB PORT!! HAVE CONTACTED SELLER FOR A REFUND.

Great value
I'm really happy with this item, the sound quality isn't amazing but is really good for the price, I would recommend this to anyone who wants a cheap reliable sound card, I use this for audio recording of live mixes and works great.

Works but flimsy
This works fine for my purposes (dictation) but I found it very flimsy. It's so easy to bash into it, sticking out of the laptop, and I am now an expert in putting it back together. The other problem with that sort of design is that USB ports are often close together, so if you've got that, quite bulky, thing sticking out of one it often obscures the other port so you can't use it for anything else. I'm also worried that, rather than damaging the adapter by knocking into it, I might damage the USB port instead. Would probably work well with a USB extension lead, otherwise I'd advise getting one with its own small lead just to physically get it away from the other USB ports and tidied away a bit more. If you do get it, also buy yourself a roll of electrical tape to stick it back together...

Macbook Doesn't Have Microphone Port
I had to buy one of these as my Macbook doesn't come with a microphone input. It was dead simple to set up, I just plugged it in and away I went. The sound quality was exactly the same as through the computers headphone port. The reason for 4 stars is that the build quality is a bit cheap - it tends to fall apart every now and then, it's really easy to click it back together but it would be nice if it didn't fall apart in the first place.

All good, works OK so far, volume goes up/down/off. NO background noise, good vfm
All good, works OK so far, volume goes up/down/on/off. NO noticeable background noise, good vfm. Using windows 10 (it installed itself automatically) media player (this usb device controls volume remote OK) and powered speakers in the headphone socket which feels poor when first plugged in. For 50p what do expect, good vfm, if it doesn't fall apart as others have found.

Not great but good value
On first use the jack sockets disappeared into the casing. After taking it apart and soldering up, the sound card successfully worked but with varying quality. I gave it 2 stars on price and delivery, and assumed that I was unlucky with the robustness of the product.

Good value and works well.
Very functional but ear/Mike socket markings difficult to see, could do with being slightly larger and lighter print. Works well with no complaints from other members of zoom meetings. Very useful on computer with only an earphone socket!
