Thought????!!!
Amazing sounding unit.It has a good pre amp and direct monitor button.Drivers are easy to obtain and simple step up.Only thing is the volume is low. I used and usb power cable to power it and it’s louder.

Good cheap working interface
Good and cheap and can be powered from iPad camera adapter. The lack of balanced line out is ok if you don’t need them - rca cables into presonus near field monitors works well. Only issues I’ve had is trying to use the interface on the pc for bias fx 2 or Cubase ai (the software that comes with it) loud feedback is experienced making it unusable. Other usb pc interfaces are ok with these apps**updated** the feedback is cause by a tick box for ‘loopback’ in the driver found in C: program files/Yamaha. Turning this off fixed the feedback issue. However, on the pc I get audio drop out no matter what I do. And Cubase ai that it ships with can’t always see the interface even though they are both steinberg. So great for iPad. But for pc my old line 6 toneport gx is more reliable.

Didn't work.
This didn't work out of the box, no sound whatsoever. Went to Dawsons and bought one there. Sent back for a full refund.

Doesn’t work with iPad
I bought this interface to play my electric guitar into some guitar effect apps on my iPad via a FireWire connection. I fiddled with it for 3 days but couldn’t get it to work. Audio out worked but couldn’t get any audio in at all. I suspect it’s a drivers issue but had no joy solving it on the Steinberg website. Sent it back, disappointed.

Quality interface for beginners
My first interface. Using it with the iPad Pro 2020. Great product and I am impressed with the quality.

Excellent
This is an excellent entry level into a home studio. Simple audio I/O yet the sound quality is excellent. Tip for mac users. Don't install the driver (which comes on a CD with the product) I installed the driver and the mac found and utilised the hardware, but logic pro x couldnt see the device. I uninstalled the drivers and the mac could still see the device, and so could Logic. Its worked flawlessly ever since.
