This product is made of a much stiffer plastic, It doesn't screen as fine particles as the fibrous filter.This product is easier to clean and longer lasting. I like this product.

Product was as advertised. What wasn't obvious from the picture was that it had been cut ahead of time so that it would fit around the pump line. That was great to discover! Also it fit exactly into our skimmer.
