Stamford Citronella Incense Sticks (Single Pack)

For some reason, when I open the balcony door or window to my lounge, a number of black house flies start flying in and hanging around. Open windows in any other room in my home does not have the same effect. In order to combat the flies in my lounge when a window is open, I thought I'd try this. Surprisingly, the house flies do not like Stamford citronella incense. I find though that I need to have the burning incense in the middle of the lounge, where the flies tend to congregate, in order for the incense to be most effective. Also, the incense has to be on a box on a chair. Any lower, and the smoke doesn't seem to effect the flies much. The only drawback for me is the smell is very strong and if I have to keep burning these continuously, I find it's a bit much. So what I now do is burn some of the citronella incense and also another incense that I like so it doesn't overpower my nose. But that is a matter of personal preference and how your nose reacts to citronella.

Bought with the idea that they’d help to repel mosquitoes and bugs in my home on an evening. They do not do so.Otherwise, Smells okay and burns as expected.

They smell amazing but I bought them because of flies but they didn't work for that

These sticks were ok they kept spelling of a horrible burn smell after they had been lit regardless of it was lit for too long or less

I have got these for my holiday in Greece, where the mosquitos must jump for joy when they see my flesh arrive( no kidding I endded up on a drip out there one year,as I had so many bites-- counted 100 on 1 leg alone) . These work well and the smell keeps them away indoors and also out doors on the balcony. I strongly reccomend.

Great for the summer when in the garden. Certainly keeps those pesky mosquitos at bay! I don’t use these in the house as too powerful for my liking, hence 4 stars.

Not as close to the actual scent of citronella as you might like, but it’s not an unpleasant fragrance.
