Soul Eater: The Complete Series [DVD]

Just from the look of it. It is easy to dismiss this series for its silly style. However, if you look past this and give it a try then i promise you that you wont be disappointed. Set in a Halloween style world, where weapons are actually living people, the story focuses on 7 students from the Death Misters and Weapons Academy (DWMA) where they fight bad spirits called Keshens and Witches in order to make their partner into a Death Syth.Going into the world and the characters, the mood is a very cheery dispite its Halloween style. The characters are a very likable bunch as well as the supporting characters. Overall they are a very funny group in different ways (e.g.. one character is obsessed with symmetry that he would leave in the middle of the battle to make sure a painting isn't leaning slightly to the left), even Death is funny character. The action is good, although not the Dragon ball style fights that i have come to love.Funimation once again does a great Dub job, with voice talent of Laura Bailey, Todd Haberkorn and Troy Baker added to the mix.My only complants is while most of the Supporting cast is well invested, there are some who are left out for most of the series. Another is the ending. Its an ok ending, but i do think it wouldn't kill the studio, Bones to do one additional episode.Overall this is a great, Funny series and is defenatly worth a by as something to Watch for Halloween, espesualy among Anime fans.

A preferred method of packaging as the discs are easy to access and it takes up less than two standard DVD cases in your library. - The show reviews are overwhelmingly positive!

I love Soul Eater, it was the first anime i ever watched, i recommend getting the box set, there is just something great about being able to just stick in a DVD and curl up in bed without having to wait for internet to buffer of struggle to stay comfortable in you computer chair or with your laptop on your knee. It is the beginning of my anime collection (along with an Ouran box set that i ordered at the same time) and i recommend it to any committed Otaku, though,i wouldn't blame you if you want to check out the series first, my favorite character is Death he Kid, voiced by the awesome Todd Haberkorn. I don't really have anything else to say so i'll leave it there, if you decide to buy it, enjoy (^_^)b

Watched this online first, then a couple of months later bought this. Quality is very good, amazing compared to online, it came quickly, and once you're past the first 5-ish episodes, which are incredibly kooky, it's an epic storyline with deep characters and the fate of the world in the balance. Wait until it's at a low price though, Amazon changes its prices regularly, so buy it when it's incredibly unmissable, especially for 51 episodes. Basically watch it for ages, then get it at its cheapest.Wish they did more of Soul Eater, but it's nice they ended it when it was at its very, very best, unlike many other animated series that drag on for eternity. Soul Eater's ending is flawless. A must watch for everyone.

If you're an anime fan, you have to watch this. Soul Eater has the right amount of comedy and action in it for this to be a firm favourite. It's also got a unique premise; people who transform into Weapons.The characters are amazing in this series. Two of my favourites being Lord Death and Excalibur. All the characters in this series are endearing, a feat not normally accomplished by many anime.The art style takes a lot of inspiration from several paintings and there is an even balance of complexity and simplicity.All in all, buy it!!

It's funny, brilliant animation that made me constantly think about how many episodes I had left because I didn't want it to end. If you like Bleach, Naruto, Kiba, Death Note, Claymore, Wolf's Rain, Outlaw Star, Guran Lagann or any such animes, you would be mad not to give it a go. Then again if you don't want 17 straight hours of your life spent watching this series, walk away - scroll up this page and click on something else I am sure you'll 'accidentally' click on this eventually and then you can buy it then :P

This is an amazing series which I feel needed more, but to be honest with you, I'm not unhappy with the ending either.I haven't watched the sub, but the dub is good in my opinion, first few episodes feature some scenes (literally 3) feature some scenes which may be considered awkward. But if you're not into that sort of thing it quickly spaces those moments out quite far.Oh yeah! This arrived in both pristine condition and in great time.I uhm... I'm gonna go watch this again, it's amazing 8D

I'm reviewing the medium in which the content comes in, not the actual series itself, please use a review site explicit to anime such as myanimelist or anilist, having bought this many years ago, it sits on a shelf never to be used; I have watched this series three times, and each time I re-watch it I opt for a Digital release for simplicity and access when out and about. The day of the DVD is dying. the dawn of online digital services has begun; it's more cost effective to 'rent' online than buy.I would recommend this for nostalgic purposes, but would highly recommend just using a streaming service to watch it.
